What are you thinking about using Zuniga for? Have you heard that Cherry Blossom is good at sneaking flowers in without paying the outside vendor fee?? I am hoping for the free events too!! (hoping that we book 75 nights, we having invited our guests for 5 nights so we need 15 rooms @ 5 nights = 75 nights)....I think we will get there! I don't know what to do for centerpieces and stuff and it makes me feel a little overwhelmed to not know how to begin that process and what things will cost and such. I AM SO LOST! lol!

I was thinking of using them for some ceremony decor and flowers, also maybe a dance floor for our welcome party. The RSVP's are starting to roll in slowly. Its early for me as my wedding is still about 14 months away (big dreamer). My main plan is to keep it simple and clean and have seperate events for our guests to spend time together (thats where the free events come in) so we'll see how it goes.

I'm meeting up with my bridesmaids in two weeks to talk dresses. This will help me settle in on a color. I recieved quotes from Zuniga and cherry blossom. Zuniga is cheaper than the resort on some items and more expensive on others. I got these quotes early so that I have time to plan out what I really want to do. Right now I'm studying for a certification for work, looking forward to vacation in the Dominican Republic in August and a Vegas vacation with my Dad & Grandma (yeah, I know right) in October! Busy, busy.

Met up with my bridesmaids this past weekend and got no where on choosing dresses or colors. The two sisters couldn't agree on a dress and one didn't even come! In an effort not to stress out i am going to take a break on this wedding planning until after my vacation in August. :(

Congrats on your vow renewal Kita! Looks like you're on top of everything.

I am getting married at Beach Palace on July 12th, 2013 :)

I noticed on a previous post of yours that your coordinator said that you can't reserve the sky terrace until 3 months from your wedding date. However, I don't think that's true. My wedding planner has already reached out to me (her name is Margarita), and she said the sky terrace is reserved for my wedding ceremony on July 12th. I decided to purchase the Pearl Shimmer Colin Cowie wedding package for the ceremony, and to make things easier for myself I'm just going to go with the reception table decor that comes with the package. It's $300.00 per table, which is pricey, but I feel like it will be worth it.

Quick quesiton- have you thought about music at all for the reception? My planner sent me info on JSAV, which is quite expensive. But I've been reading on this website, that PSAV is another preferred vendor and that they're cheaper. Just curious if you have any info on them.

Good luck with everything and please reach out if you have any questions!

Sorry you had no luck on colors, Kita. Enjoy your vacation and take a break then get back to it!! I am starting to really get active in my planning--- just 6 months to go for me! Eeek! I'm feeling a little lost in my budget not knowing what things are going to cost. I got a price list from Zuniga on some decor I might use for reception, but nothing on flowers. Do you have any of that you could share? What was the hotel less expensive then Zuniga on? I haven't gotten any price information from them on anything. I read on here that the Miami office is no longer? Have you still been in communicating with Janessa? I wasn't sure who I needed to contact to try to get some planning going. I've joined the webinar here for the 27th so maybe that will help me some.

Has anyone booked Zuniga? I am a little confused on how early I need to do that. Should I wait until I am in contact with my WC and know where my reception will be? I didnt want some of the bigger items I want from them to be "checked out" if you will.... I wasn't quite sure how that worked. Anyone have any clue on that? I also dont know EXACTLY what I will be need since I am still 6 months away and don't know exactly how many people will be attending (like how many centerpieces and things like that), but do I need to get the ball rolling??? HELP!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
