Hello fellow Playacar Palace brides! 

 

What a relief to find this forum. I have just booked my wedding at Playacar for Dec 10th and have lots of questions. These postings have been great!

 

I've noticed many have posted about unexpected costs. Wondering if past brides might be able to share a summary of the costs that they had to cover to have a sense of what to expect. I'll have a good size group so expect to meet the minimum 75 night room but looks like this still leaves you with lost of other costs to cover. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yikes.  What is the minimum 75 night room deal all about?  I haven't heard anything about this and we are thinking about booking our wedding here.

If you accumulate 75 room nights then you get "unlimited private events" which means..you can get the ballroom and private dinner for your guests and also you get credited back for your room costs up to 7 nights free!!!

It helps a lot with the costs and you can add more things to your package with that extra money. Or at least thats what I plan to do.

75 room nights example:

 

Jen and Allan are staying 5 nights for your wedding-                       5nights x 2 people= 10 room nights

Miles and Tracy & their 2 daughters are staying 3 nigths            3nights x 4 people- 12 room nights        

Already thats 22 room nights, so it will add up and you should be okay!

 

Also the website for Palace resorts now says that you can use your resort credits to pay for certain packages suck as Pearl Shimmer..

AWESOME right??? The only snag I am getting is that they wont count peoples "room nights" if they dont book through the website the resort gives you for people to purchase their rooms. If you have a travel agent make sure they go to bat for you on this,

Regardless of how guests booked, people are spending mucho dinero at that resort because of YOU, ..so YOU should get points!! Right?

Hi, I figured you had your wedding already. I am planning a destination wedding and came across Playacar Palace yesterday. Now I am in the hunt for more info.

 

Could you please share the total expenses for your wedding, which package did you have and how many guest?

 

Any help will be appreciated.

I am also looking into getting married at Playacar March 2015. I have no idea where to start and who to talk to. I have so many questions that need answers. Does anyone have a contact information for the wedding coordinator there? And, I am looking to invite 50-75 people. Does anyone have the pricing on how much everything costs? Food wise, can we do a food tasting during our site visit? I am also planning to get married at a local Catholic church. Has anyone done that before?

 

Ylan, my budget is also 15k. Is this budget possible? This is so overwhelming.

@@hanaefaith have you tried going to the resorts website? And going under weddings?  I'd think that this is the best way to figure out who to contact, and see if they have wedding information that outlines what's included.

 

$15,000 is more than enough for a wedding south of the border.
