Any advice is appreciated

Recommended Posts

Hi  ladies! I'm new to this! My fiancé and I have decided to get married September 22, 2012. I hope we can pull it off since the date seems so close. We are just waiting for the hotel to confirm our date and we will then send out the save the dates and invitations shortly after. What's next? Any advice or guidance is appreciated. Thank you.

i'd say you should start with the fun stuff, dress shopping, maybe just start thinking about what you want your wedding to be like ... decorations, etc.  you really have plenty of time but it doesn't hurt to start collecting pictures, etc to get a general idea of what you want.

since it sounds like you already have the location decided on that's huge.  but if you haven't already you could touch base with the wedding coordinator and just see what she suggests you do.

ooohhh - start looking for a photog.  if you're going to fly someone in or just book w/someone other than the hotel photog you'll want to start looking now.

Hi! Welcome and congrats!

I agree that the photographer and videographer may be a good next decision. Depending on who you go with, they may have schedules that book early.

Also, I've heard that some dress alterations can take a few months from start to end, so you may want to look into that as well. Other than that, I think 9 months is plenty of time for details!

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
