Rehearsal Dinners

Hey ladies,

We are having our wedding at a private estate on Saturday, April 28th.  It will be more money to rent out the estate the day prior to the wedding, in which case is the rehearsal dinner.  Since that isn't really an option for us, since we're on a budget, we decided to have our rehearsal dinner at a luau.  My soon to be Mother-in-law has generously offered to foot the bill for the rehearsal dinner at the luau, however; it's been tough finding a luau location that will let you reserve 20 seats.  Does anyone have any suggestions on the best luaus and most accommodating near Lahaina? I've heard great things about the Old Lahaina Luau, however; they only allow reservations for 15 people max and our party is 20.

Any advise would be great. What are all you brides doing for your rehearsal dinner??

Mahalo!

Hi Lori. I would tell you that I called Darren of www.blissmaui.com and he put me in touch with some of his people and we had a great time at the Feast at Laylay (sp?). We all sat together 25 of us, it was on the ocean and I was also told by some of the locals that it was the best luau on Maui.

Hope that this helps you. Darren was born and raised on Maui so he knew a lot of people that helped us.

Lydia!

I just had my rehearsal dinner at Old Lahaina Luau for 42 people.  It was beautiful, service was great and food was delicious!  They let you reserve for as many people as you like, just call them and talk to their event coordinator.  This was my second time at this luau and I have also been to Feast at LeLe.  I personally like Old Lahaina better but both are pretty amazing.  Old Lahaina Luau I believe gives a 10% off group discount which puts it at about $90 a person I believe.  I think Feast of LeLe may be a little bit more.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
