I already created boarding pass save the dates which I love, however my fiance wanted me to include more information about the resort and a little info on pricing so that our guest have an idea of what kind of money they will be spending to come to our wedding. I came up with the idea to include a little brochure to highlight some of the resort amenities and include pictures to get guest excited about taking a mini vacation, and in the middle of creating the brochure it occurred to me that I can use the brochure as the save the date and the boarding passes as my invitations. What are your opinions ladies?

If you love the save the date boarding passes, I think you should keep them cheesy.gif  If you haven't printed the boarding passes, could you include your wedding website link and provide more info on the resort, pricing, etc on your website? When I sent out our save the dates, our wedding website was not fully complete but I only activated the website pages related to the resort and flight information.

Or to stay with the travel theme, you can always go out and create passport invitations.  Use your pages and fill them with the information you need to include.  I did boarding passes as my invitations and then sent the passports out a month prior to our departure to give people a little more information about our itinerary.

If you haven't printed your save the dates yet, then I think it would be a great idea to just send a brochure and save the boarding passes for the wedding since you already have something created and it would be less work during a time that may be more stressful. Good luck!

I've been working on the brochures and they have started to grow on me so I think I will use them for the save the dates. Like Lolo411 said I can use the boarding passes for my official invitations since I haven't printed them yet so I won't have to stress about that later. I'm hoping seeing pictures of the resort will get our Family and Friends excited about a vacation and to make the price of travel an after thought. Is anyone else feeling a little selfish asking family and friends to pay $$$ to come to their DW?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
