Hi Everyone,

Looking for your help. I'm having a hard time looking for a good TA to help my fiance and I with our destination wedding. Any suggestions/referrals you might have would be AWESOME! Most of our guests will becoming from Toronto, a handful from BC and AB.

Please send in your contacts and share your experiences. Your help would be most appreciated :o)

I am from Toronto and I am working with Beach Bum Vacations.  They are based in the US but since everything is online, they can serve Canadian Brides as well.  They are FREE! I went to them because I had read really good reviews.  I've been working with my TA for two months now and she's been really great.  I do plan on reviewing their service after the wedding but they have been really attentive.

I hope this helps~

a friend of mine who lives outside of TO used a TA for her DW (that's a lot of initials!). Let me find out who she used and if she'd recommend them.

good luck with all of that!

I heard back from my friend, she said the lady she used was in Cambridge, but has now moved offices. My friend said all this lady did was handle the booking. My friend had to do all of the research, discussions with the resort, etc. So she really wouldn't recommend her to others... sorry I wasn't any help!

Spoke with our Beach Bum travel specialist today for the first time. Her name was Sarah and she was great! Sarah was very attentive, and had loads of questions for FI and I about everything from how we met, to our vision of our special day. She was able to answer all our questions, and gives us feedback on a few ideas and requests. After speaking with another BDW bride who had to switch from BB, I was worried about her willingness to accommodate our requests. Sarah put all my fears to rest, and was more than willing to make our requests work. I have a few more people to hear back from regarding quotes and so on, but all concerns I had about Beach Bum from being a Canadian bride, to guests flying out of several different airports around the world, are now a thing of the past.

I've already started working with a TA and I don't want to go any further until my worries disappear! *stress face*

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
