  2. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/topic/75908-wedding-dress-for-sale-size-6-one-shoulder-mermaid-gown-calgary/?do=findComment&comment=1823792 Hey ladies, Thought I would post this out there and see if anyone is interested in purchasing a wedding gown. I live in Cochrane, Alberta, so anyone who lives or plans to visit the Calgary area and/or is near Cochrane I would love to sell this to you. check out my post by clicking the link above please!
  3. Hi all, For sale is this beautiful mermaid style, one shoulder wedding gown in size 6. It is newly drycleaned so it pretty much is like new and is now just hanging in the bag on a dress form. Colour is Ivory White. I believe it is an organza material with tool at the bottom. Hasn't been altered to size...it just fit off the rack for me luckily. The only alteration that has been done is that I added a bustle to the back for the train. It is conveniently placed under the flower details on the back of the dress. It is a zip up dress but it has the lovely button detail on the back. Has a few flower details on the shoulder and on the part where the mermaid starts to flare out. I am selling for $900 or your best offer. If you live in and around Calgary, Alberta, even better for me to sell this dress to you. It is gorgeous! I have placed a few pictures so you can see how beautifully it photographs. Please let me know if you have any questions. Email me for a faster response: [email protected]
  4. Hi ladies, I like in Ontario in the Milton area and work in Mississauga. Looking for your help on finding an inexpensive place to get my dress cleaned. I plan on selling it online since I have no use for it anymore. Any suggestions as to where I can sell? And also clean the dress? Thanks!
  5. Tell me about it!!! I wasn't sure who you were and I didn't wanna approach brides randomly *stalker-ish* lol Thank you!
  6. Hi Ladies, Just got our wedding highlight video from Mike Cantarell Films. We absolutely LOVED it! My hubby cried while watching it. If you are getting married in Mexico, I highly recommend them for capturing your special day on film. Very good customer service, extrememly friendly, not intrusive at all (didn't even notice them half the time) and the quality of the product at the end is great! Couldn't be happier! Seriously worth every penny. The pictures we got were fabulous from the photographer that we used, but the video just brought me back to the day and was able to capture even more of the emotion on that day. I can't wait to just watch our wedding video of our love story! http://vimeo.com/68558865
  7. I used a local vendor here in Ontario around my area. She was very inexpensive and I was thrilled at the quality that I got for the price I paid. I found a lot of the vendors that were recommended on here were still really expensive. We got married in Cancun, Mexico at the Gran Caribe Real.
  8. Hey Ladies, Here is my bouquet. It's also got seashells incorporated into it..not sure if you can tell from the pictures. But thought I would share. I absolutely loved it and now I have a beautiful keepsake from our wedding day!
  9. Hi Ladies, I am wondering if anyone has used or heard of good reviews about artisan state for custom photo albums. I wanted something with thick pages that Groupon deals and such didn't have and came across these guys http://www.artisanstate.com/ Just wanted to see if anyone had thoughts on them. They seem fairly inexpensive and from what I've seen, good quality stuff as well. Let me know. Thanks.
  10. Hey Ladies, Our wedding got featured on BDW!!! Check it out for pictures of the resort for photo ideas here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/a/priyanka-and-cliff-get-married-at-gran-caribe-real-cancun

  12. Rooms were great! We did the Gran Master Ocean View suite. Even the standard rooms were nice.
  13. Hi Tinkersofi, I would get married again there (not that I would remarry or anything lol) but I still would. I think the most common ones would be the fee that you have to pay to have a break for photos between the ceremony and reception time. They asked for $400 or you pay for a cocktail hour. Didn't want a cocktail hour because all my guests stayed on the resort and it's all-inclusive for crying out loud! Mind you, I did argue for them to waive this fee for me. The rational behind them doing this is because if you have guests that do not stay on the resort (outside guests) then they need to cover the fact that they might take advantage of the drinks and food of the resort. So I managed to get them to waive it on the grounds that all my guests are ON the resort and I only needed an hour for us to take pics with the guests and us as a couple. It was frustrating, but it was worth the fight since we won. The other fee that they don't outright tell is the $350 vendor fee...and that is per vendor, not per person ok. Just to clarify. Those are really the only hidden fees that we came across. It wasn't that big of a deal really. We went with the free package so it really didn't matter much. And we did it a la carte style. So for us, it didn't amount to much in the end. Yes they should be more clear and specific on their documentation about all these things, but really, it wasn't that bad in my opinion. The break in events fee was the only one of concern. You really still save wayyyy more money doing it this way than an at home wedding. Put it this way, you now know what to expect when dealing with them from reading this. Gran Caribe is inexpensive for you and guests compared to going to Beach Palace (we were looking at them at the beginning as an option but Gran Caribe cost us a lot less!). You might have to put in some time to deal with them to waive fees. but from our experience, it was worth it. Just reason with them, and be respectful when dealing with them, and you can work it out. I told them I wouldn't sign the contract unless they waived that fee and everything else was a negotiation. That's my two cents!
  14. Hey all, we are back from our wedding and had a greeeeatttt time! I've already left my review on the Gran Caribe Real Cancun review forum so if you are interested check it out. Now that we are back, I am looking for places where we can do our wedding album for a good deal. Our photographer gave us quote, but I want to look around to see if there are deal in the GTA area that I don't know about. Maybe some of you ladies have some insider information for a good deal. Would love to hear! Thanks.
