Depending on how many ppl you have you shouldn't need one. My FI and i booked ourselves as well as 11 other ppl ourselves over internet. It's so easy.

I thought I would never use a TA but couldn't even get past the resort selection process without mine. I actually found her through this forum. I went to the group for brides from my area and asked around who had great TA's. I emailed the 3 closest to my area and the first one to respond was awesome. She doesn't plan the wedding for you by any means, but it's nice to have someone to pass on all the travel info to your guests. You don't need people pestering you 24/7 while you try to plan your wedding, a great TA can field everybody's questions regarding travel for you.

Cheapcarribean.com is a great site. We booked though them the first time, but for the wedding we booked everything directly though the resort and the airline. At this point, i am glad we did because now one person cant go but a dif person wants to come. Changing names on room and flights is much easier when you book direct.
