Hey there.

Just thought I would introduce myself and get a fresh thread started. I am newly obsessed with this website and all the wonderful ppl on here that love to share their great ideas.

My FI and I will be taking 11 of our friends and family members to Ocho Rios 11/11/11 to do the damn thing! We stayed at "The Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort and Spa" in February and loved it so much. When Brian said he wanted to go back before the end of the year I didn't know it would be to get married. I thought since we will both be nervous that a familiar place might help to calm us down. We are even requesting the same room. I have never wanted a summer to be over so bad in my life! Brian is the best thing that could have ever happened to me. After the ceremony all guests will head home and we will drive across Jamaica to "The Caves" in Negril for our honeymoon.

Feel free to tell your story, share advice, or ask away....

Should any veterans have stumbled across this please share some of your expeiences and mostly what you would have done differently.

Welcome!!!!!!!  Your wedding sounds like it's going to be amazing, and the Caves is one of the most beautiful places I have seen!  You're going to love your honeymoon!

As for experience... don't stress.  Everything will work out perfect in the end and you'll love it all if you don't freak out about the details (they just aren't worth it!).

Oh thanks! My mum actaully found the Caves. It just bums me out that thier rum bar will be closed the whole time we are staying. Bummer. I'm sure I'll get over it. Details are why I wanted the DW. I figured it would be a great thing for them to say here are your three choices pick one. Ahhhhh i wish I could get that for the AHR!

We are getting married on 3/17/12 at Sandals Negril. We picked a destination wedding as we met at one, in Montego Bay Jamaica. So we figured it was meant to be. Since we were in Montego Bay before, we decided to switch it up a bit by going to Negril.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
