Oops, I just realized they come in cases of 36, which is exactly what we need so I won't need to split!

That is fine but can you tell me how you are using them and where you are ordering them from? I may order my own. Thanks:)

I am ordering from www.theskylantern.com - they're high quality, eco-friendly and ship from Vancouver. We are planning to give one to each person at the reception. I think it will be really pretty!

@ Skygirl - I'm still waiting to hear back from the WC in regards to releasing them at the resort in DR... I'll keep you posted!

After reading about these and the potential harm to the environment (metal wires that don't degrade and can hurt wildlife) I've decided to only buy 100% biodegradable lanterns (no metal wires). Here's the website if anyone is interested: http://www.eco-sky-lanterns.co.uk/

              Hey,

I got mine from http://weddinglanterns.com/ and the shipping and duty was pretty decent... they were good to deal with, for all of the Canadian Brides.. :) I got them a few months ago.. and was happy with them when i got them, as they are good quality and size.

              Good luck ladies!

I totally want to do this too!! I'm just trying to figure out a fun/cute way to give them to people at the reception and maybe a short poem/reading about them. Any thoughts?

I contacted the website and they said there are come metal components - so I did a bit more searching and found these:
