Turks and Caicos Newbie

Hi Everyone!!

My fiance and I, engaged for 4 months have set our sights on the Turks and Caicos. We have family that lives far and wide, across the United States and found that if we have an intimate wedding/honeymoon it would be more affordable and more realistic.

The problem is that we have NO IDEA where to start with the planning of the wedding. Savings account of course, but beyond that we are stuck in the mud.

If you have any helpful hints and helpful planning for the Turks and Caicos, please, please, please help!

Thank you!!

Sincerely,

Amber

Hey Amber,

Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum!  This forum should answer a lot of your questions, just spend some time here.  What I did was a search at the top of this page for "Turks and Caicos" and got 55 pages of threads.  I would say start with some of those and you will be able to start compiling a list of things that you want done for wedding.

Good luck and feel free to drop us a line anytime.  As wedding photographers we see almost every part of a wedding day and feel almost as we are wedding consultants.  We see things that can make or break your day all the time.

Congrats and Welcome Amber!!!!!

There are a ton of threads on here about T&C, we were married at Beaches Resorts, and there is a Beaches T&C thread as well, with a ton of info!

If you have any questions I would be more than happy to help out!

Happy Planning!!!

Welcome Amber!

LIke Brandy said check out the T&C thread (and look at her planning thread - her wedding was amazing!) to get the skinny on T&C and the other threads will help you with everything else...I just took one at a time to get a basic idea of what I needed to do and then as I think of things I need more info about I search them (which can be tricky but you'll get the hang of it) If you get stuck just post a thread and someone will help you! I'm warning you though - I've become so addicted to this site I check it more than I check my email!

Welcome!  The first thing we did was decide on a location (which you have done), then a resort, then a date, and booked our date.  After that things seemed to kind of get a little easier.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
