sandals grande st lucia or beaches t&c

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

We had been planning to have our wedding at Beaches Turks&Caicos but will be having a Catholic ceremony and recently learned that the church is undergoing construction through the end of the year. We were planning to have the ceremony in November but to avoid this we'd have to move it to January at the earliest. Because of this we've taken a step back to re-evaluate our options and have looked into Sandals Grande St. Lucia.

We're really looking for any info. about the differences between the resorts and any opinions. We're aware that the major difference is no children are allowed at the Sandals resort but is there anything else we should be aware of?

Thanks!

Phil & Erin

Hi Phil and Erin!  And welcome!!

I have heard GREAT things about both resorts!  I have a friend that got married at Sandals Grande St Lucian, and she loved it!  One great thing that she liked was that the fact that her guests could stay at one of the other 2 Sandals resorts in St Lucia and still attend their wedding and they woulnd't be too far.  Another good thing about St Lucia is their excursions- they have many more to choose from than T&C.

I am getting married at Beaches T&C.  We chose that resort b/c there will be children at our wedding and we wanted to be able to accodomate them.  Another thing we loved about Beaches T&C is they have a water park, and the resort is huge!  So although they do not have quite as many excursions, the resort itself is enough to entertain everyone.  I've heard that T&C has the most beautiful beaches and water in the Caribbean.

Ultimately, it just depends on what you want the most.  I think both resorts would be fabulous!!  I hope this helps a little!!!  :-)

Hi Phil and Erin,

I am getting married at Sandals Grande St. Lucian.  Since we aren't getting married until July, I can't really provide a review, but everything has been great so far.  The resort is a bit pricey and is selling out fast, but I've heard that would be the same at T and C.

I do like that my guests can stay on any 1 of the 3 resorts and still attend the wedding for free or come over and visit whenever.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I will help as much as I can!

Hi Phil and Erin,

Just curious if you've made your decision yet between Turks and St. Lucia?  These are 2 completely different resorts and as already said above, one of the biggest differences is whether you will have guests with children or not.  I've been to both of these resorts and they are both amazing.  The overall beauty is St.Lucia is amazing and captured beautifully at La Toc.  If you want amazing beach and some of the bluest water available in the Caribbean, the Beaches Turks and Caicos is the place for you.  I have some beautiful photos of Beaches Turks and Caicos including several of the wedding gazebos with the sea in the back ground. Let me know if you would like to see it.  If there will be no guests, then I would recommend the Grand St. Lucian as it is a  more intimate resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
