I have bad luck with rings!!!

Recommended Posts

My DF proposed to me with a lovely white sapphire ring that I never had any problems with, but I seem to have lost in on Christmas eve sometime between the baking and cleaning frenzy.  We still never found it, so last month we went to Zales and got a great deal on a three stone white gold diamond ring.  Since I'm so paranoid about losing it, I NEVER take this one off but today I noticed that the stones seem to be coming a little loose.  I'm really upset about this because it's only been a month!!

We do have the warranty on it, but I'm not sure if I should panic and rush it in pre-emptively or wait and see if something actually falls out.  I don't want to go without my ring while they fix it :-(  Am I just too hard on it?  Should I stop wearing it while I shower and sleep and risk losing another one?  It's been a rough day and I just want to go home and relax but I only live about 10 minutes from the shop so I can go if I need to.

you should take it in, they should just send it out to tighten the prongs around the stone, and if you take your ring in to be cleaned they should inspect the diamonds to see if any are loose then too ( at least this what they do where FI got my ring at Helzberg, I take it in like o nce a month to be clen and they check the diamonds under microscope with little tools) good luck!

I would take it in right away to get fixed!

I totally know what you're feeling though.  My stone became loose after only 3 weeks!!! I had to part with it for a week while they sent it away to be fixed, but that was better than loosing my diamond!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
