I have crossed so many things off of my list that I was planning on doing but decided against it...and the stress has been lifted off of my shoulders.  so what do I have left to do.

welcome letter..if anyone has a template please send it my way

pack-i just order a hard shell suitcase so waiting on that

DJ-play list...is anyone doing this..or just trusting the DJ?

cds-ceremony cd, and first dance cd

I was wondering do you think the resort will allow me to put up an itinerary in the lobby?  I just have so many guest coming or have RSVP but I don't know if they really reserved rooms. So they may not get the welcome letter.

Are you guys doing a seating chart? I am trying to avoid the headache

what about a guest book? do people really look at them after their wedding?

Ugh, I did the opposite, I added things to my plate lol!! I have a welcome letter, short but sweet I can send to you if you want, whats your email address? Also, we did a list for the DJ but gave him a decent list of songs and told him he could play the rest.... it's so risky trusting a DJ I feel like! XOXO

akamikey11, I doubt the resort will let you put up an itinerary, but they will probably keep copies at the front they could give to guests who mention they are there for your wedding.  If you have an email list of your guests, you could email everyone that they can get a copy of the plans at the front desk of the resort.  Just a thought.

No DJ here, but did the wedding CD and CD for the photographer over the weekend....felt so relieved to have it done!  Girl, you are WAY ahead of me if you are already packing!  Haha!  Every time I get on this forum I feel like I am light years behind you gals!

I am thinking I will probably do a seating chart to insure I get to sit next to my closest people..ha!  I know that sounds terrible, but there are people I never see, and I want to make sure I get to spend time with them.  But, my seating chart will be easy since we only have 22 or 24 people coming.

I am still up in the air on the guest book.  I can't seem to find what I am looking for.  I found an old school polaroid camera (where the picture comes out of the front of the camera as soon as you take it), and I was planning on having the guests get a picture, tape it in the book, then sign next to their pic.  A page per couple./ family.  But, the traditional guest books all have lines for signatures, and scrapbooks are all loose papers that get inserted in the plastic sheets.  I wish i could find a binded book with blank pages that we could use as our guest book.

Hi hdinsmor

The guest book you're talking about is available at theknot. com . They have the package where it comes with the new and improved polaroid (and film for 75 guests if my memory serves me right) and the blank page guestbook Or just the blank page guest book . I think they have a whole bunch of different colors. Hope this helps : )

I'm making a play list for the ceremony. For the reception I'm just going to pick out some must play songs and leave the rest to the DJ. However I must say that one of my guests is going to wear his DJ hat so I have full confidence.;) No seating chart and no guest book for me, that's a little too formal for my taste but maybe if you're expecting a lot of people it's worth it.

Hey Girl, Ok yes we did a welcome/thank you letter and it has inserts for daily activities/itinerary. I can send it to you if you want. I went to YouTube and made 2 playlist.. One for allow songs for the reception dinner and one for fast songs during our dance and mingling champagne cocktail hour after our ceremony. I was going to put it on my iPod for the DJ but also make a cd's just in case. You might just want to ask your resort of you can put a small pile of itineraries at the front desk. We are doing a seating chart for our 35 guests. Only because we have luminary place cards so I want to make sure everyone is seated with their spouse/family member. We are doing a caricature picture I had made of us as our guestbook. Our guests will be able to sign right on the picture. We are also do self addresses Jamaica post cards. Our guests can fill them out and they are already addressed and stamped to us. I'll place them in the outgoing mail after the wedding.

I have crossed so many things off of my list that I was planning on doing but decided against it...and the stress has been lifted off of my shoulders.  so what do I have left to do.

Thanks for the info all, but eventually I went on Ebay and bid on some pink ones, hope the fit is perfect.

As for music I am foregoing the DJ and bringing my ipod, I have a friend in charge on Music but I did send him a list of the important music, hope that helps. Ooops, totally for about my seating chart better get that going. Now on to finishing up on minor details. wish you guys all the luck as the time seems to be dwindling away.

Forgot to mention I am using a map of Dominican Republic as my guest book, I'll have everyone sign it during the cocktail or reception time.

Now I totally need to itemize my packing list as to not forget anything, did anyone make a packing list of things to take?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
