December 2011 Brides

I got my dresses back :D It is all done and I am happy with it! Also I got my hanger today and my just married flip flops

After complaining about my seamstress she was weirdly too nice hahaha :D I was quite surprised about it.

Your boss is quite a mean man, but I am sure you will do just great on your work trip! It kind of sucks, but works is work :(

Also, I just need to vent for one moment ladies.  I get married on a Saturday.  We are coming back that Monday, and had planned to take our honeymoon elsewhere over the Christmas holiday.  So my boss asked me when I was back, and I was truthful and told him late Monday night.  He scheduled me on a huge work trip that Tuesday- Friday in Fargo, ND.  So I will go straight from Jamaica to Fargo, with an extra suitcase full of work stuff and suits.  I am so pissed.  If I spend my wedding day preparing for depositions while my hair is getting done, I am just going to come unglued.  ARGH!  Alright, done complaining.  Thank you for listening/reading to me vent.

I hope there is not much alterations needs to be done!

So I need to vent as well. My shower is this sunday and my aunt has planned the whole thing so I haven't had to worry about it. Today it has just hit me that there will be 20+ people there to give me presents. I am horrible at receiving gifts! I'm just so awkward in these situations! And I'm going to have to make a speech! I'm getting really worried about this! On another note..... When I mentioned having a bachelorette party everyone wanted to plan it. My best friend (who is not able to come to the wedding but would be my maid of honor) Is planning it. Well is supposed to be. I ended up booking the pole dancing because she was leaving it really late and she does not know evEryone who is coming. She was soposed to take care of the rest (hotel, games , snacks, transportation, time line) she hasn't done anything or talked to me about it at all. I'm freaking out because its next friday and Everyone keeps asking me what we Are doing and how much it will cost them. I don't want to just take over the planning. Also there is such a random group of girls that are coming, no one really knows anyone else and that could go really wrong with pole dancing. Sent from my BlackBerry 9900 using Tapatalk

Morgan,

Don't stress about the shower. I felt the exact same way last weekend! I'm usually the party planner, the one in the kitchen cleaning up etc. This is your time to shine and just remember, I'm sure you've  been to many bridal showers and brought many gifts! Now it's you and your fiance's turn to recieve the courtesy. I went to bath and body works and bought mini hand sanitizers and gave those out at the door when people were leaving, and it's great because everyone could drop them in their purse! It made me feel like i was giving them something (despite the catering, wine and cake from the party!) Just relax, and have a fabulous shower!!

ladies,

how is everyone's planning goes? It gets closer and closer for us!

It is 25 days before we leave and I am trying to organize my stuff, I have a horrible feeling that I am missing something important. I think I need to make some more lists, it seems to have a nice calming effect on me :D

Hi ladies,

So I don't know about all of you but as the time is ticking down to the wire I am finding it harder and harder to concentrate on anything else! I have been packing and repacking stuff so that I can try to fit it all...can't believe how hard it is to fit all of these little things because it seems like it takes four suitcases just to get the little stuff in and then we still have to pack our clothes and bridal stuff! ah! not to mention I know I'm probably forgetting to do something huge since there is only a few weeks i am racking my brain to think of what i could be forgetting.....hope everyones fittings are going well and stress is staying low...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
