Whew.... I've had a marathon planning/crafting weekend!! I finished my preparation/travel newsletter for my guests; checked into park and fly hotel rates (we have to drive 6 hours to Minneapolis to fly out from there and our flight leaves at 7 am); made a bunch of ribbon wrapped votive candles; ordered my sashes, runners, and napkins; ordered what will 'hopefully' work out as my reception dress; booked a boudoir session; and ordered some crystal centers for the fabric flower sashes I'm going to make. Like I said.... WHEW! ;)

Wow, You got so many things accomplished!!

I booked our hotel too, since we have to drive about 3 hrs to airport and we fly out at 7 am.

We bought my wedding band and took our rings to get engraved. I got my wedding clutch, finalized my wedding add-ons and paid for them, now it is just little details left. And I am so excited to try my dress again tomorrow :D

I think you being in Montreal will find way better deals in stores. I had a hard time finding some good stuff online for a good price, but try etsy, there were few nice ones.

wowie! Everyone's been working hard!

We finally ordered the guys suits last night. We ordered them from studiosuits.com, the $99 dollar linen ones that everyone else keeps ordered. I just pray that we measured them right!

We have to order our wedding bands this week and get our papers off to the wedding coordinator. I think we are going to make a CD for our guests of Jamaican music. (of course, that is not my job, since Im technologically challenged!)

I have come up with our table favours. I ordered these palm tree boxes and i would like to put some jelly beans in them. I took my name tag off of another wedding I went to recently and stuck it on the front of this box, that way we can put these at each place setting without thinking they will blow away since our reception is at the steakhouse on the beach! I will justmake the font a little bit bigger.  I also ordered these matches. I thought they were supercute, and the guys will smoke cigars down there and they only cost me $46 dollars for 100! they are light and hopefully will travel very well!  The writing is in silver, I'm guessing it's my photo skills that made it turn a little silver!

I need to get on it and order the suits THIS WEEKEND!!! We're ordering from Studio Suits too. But at least I don't feel too bad knowing you just ordered yours as well! :) I'm hoping we measure right too. We basically need to tie down my fiance and his brothers and get the measuring done. They work 14 day shifts, so if I don't get them this weekend I'm in trouble!

Ahhhh!!! I've got my BD shoot tomorrow and I'm BEYOND nervous!! Worst part- it's at 7:30pm, so I have to survive a day of work and chaperoning my daughter's field trip before I can go get ready and get it done!! I am SO going to be ready for that bottle of wine I get to bring along!

Otherwise, I am SO pumped I finally got a reception dress today that I'm happy with. I got my sashes and table runners a couple days ago, and suits ordered. I mainly have a TON of DIY stuff left to do. To add to things I'm doing a lot of the planning for my bridal shower as well (Love my mom buts she's clueless... :). The main stuff is getting done at least!

That's soo exciting!!! I thought I would be nervous for my BD shoot. But when it come to it, I was not nervous for even one bit. I even caught myself thinking that it feels weird not to be nervous or shy. I am sure you will have lots of fun there :D

I am organizing my bachelorette party myself (I know it is sad haha). And it is not easy to deal with 8 women who live in different cities. Everyone knows how to do it better. :D

But I am sure you will figure it out. I don't think my mom even knows what is bridal shower ahaha, at least your does ;)

Good luck with you BD shoot. Let us know how it goes :D

Doing my OTT bags this weekend.  And then trying to tackle the seating chart for the reception.  I have still avoided trying my dress on in the hopes I will lose 10 more lbs.... but I need to get realistic and just get the dress to the tailor.  Argh!   Thankfully its just a simple dress, off the rack that fit when I bought it, just need to get it hemmed.  I was just dreaming of being able to have it taken in because of my amazing weight loss.  Oh well.  Life just got in the way I suppose.

Other than that, just finishing up other DIY details.  I think I have all the major stuff done.  So crazy we only have 2 months left!  I was engaged for 18 months so it feels surreal that the big day is actually finally getting close!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
