Can't lose the weight and I bought a Dress a size to small

Recommended Posts

So I am getting really worried. I bought my dress 4 months ago and I figured its pretty easy for me to lose weight (as I've done it before) so I bought a size 16 dress instead of the size 18 I should have bought. I am totally regretting it now and there is no way to change the order. I have been under some very big stress lately with moving to a new city and starting a new job in a couple weeks that it seems I am taking out my stress with EATING. Even when I'm not hungry I eat just because its there. I need a fast solution to get this weight off. I need to fit into this dress.

What diet are you following? Are you working out? To go from one size to another is about 10 lbs or so and since your wedding is in November you have time to lose the weight. If you aren't writing your food down I would definitely start doing that.

You also need to find a way to relax and reduce your stress in another way other than eating. I also eat when I am stressed so I know how frustrating it is. I found that working out actually helps me calm down (it is a proven stress reliever). I also love to do yoga and/or read a good book to calm me down.

I actually bought the right size in my dress and then gained weight so it doesn't fit. I have about 5 more pounds to go. It is really upsetting but if you put the work in and really try you will lose the weight.

You have to diet and exercise. Is there any kind of boot camp you can join in your area? The one I am in is in 4 week sessions and in my mid way assessment (2 weeks) I've lost 4 lbs and I am sure some inches. I am also following their nutrition advice faithfully. I joined for 8 weeks to get me kick started and I am hoping to be down at least 10 pounds by the end.

You need to sit yourself down and take accountability for YOUR HEALTH!!! Forget about the losing weight etc...just focus on staying healthy and stressfree. Go to Yoga a couple times a week. THen change up your diet...you want a snack?? Keep ONLY healthy alternatives around. If you have junk food in your home you will eat it! Clean out your cupboards of all the junk and replace with Clean Food Items that don't contain enormous amounts of Salt and Fat. You have a couple of months and you can easily drop the weight just by doing these things. Chin up!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
