I think it depends on where you are getting married if your wedding is at Dreams I dont think you need a wedding co-ordinator as they have fantastic ones, I am nearly finished organising everything and have not found it hard at all, even from Australia!
Wedding Coordinator or just use forum notes and suggestions (& day of coordinator)?

Can you give me Rachel Hansens information? I'm getting married in Cabo San Lucas Barcelo Deluxe Palace and I'm thinking of using a coordinator in addition to the hotel wedding planner.

I almost posted the exact same thread! ...until I met the right coordinator. My wedding is going to be pretty simple and relatively "non-traditional" (no flowers, cake, etc), so I figured I could do it all myself. In contacting a vendor, I was referred to Tammy Wolff, a wedding coordinator. I've actually engaged many coordinators, but have only received one response and I believe it's because of my budget (under $10K). Tammy and I spoke and she actually thought of several ways to save me money! She had great suggestions and because she's lived and worked in Cabo for around 20 years (She's originally from California), she seems to have a lot of contacts. I thought her prices were reasonable (I compared a package deal from Casa Dorada to what she and I could work up together and I was saving $700 including her fee). She doesn't do day of coordination, and the fee sheet she sent me was very reasonable (for my wedding of 35, we're around the $1500 mark--she charges by the guest number).
Tammy Wolff: firstname.lastname@example.org,
Hi all! I'm trying to decide whether or not I need a full wedding coordinator. I know there are so mnay suggestions here on this site and I can contact some vendors directly, but I am worried about whether that is not too much work. The resort has a wedding coordinator that I know will help me but I see that people have hired a wedding coordinator as well as had the hotels coordinator. I guess the difference is planner vs. coordinator? I don't know... any thoughts? I would lvoe to save money on the coordinator but of course don't want to create too much work or have stuff left out. I just feel like the hotels coordinator might be enough. my wedding is going to be about 50 or 60 people...
would love your thoughts and to hear your experiences!
also, how much is the typical wedding coordinator fee??
