I'm 24 and my fiancé is 23 and we are getting married next year. I personally feel old and don't get when people comment with "oh your so young" My parents were married at 21 and by my age had 3 kids and they have had a wonderful happy marriage.

I am 21 and my FI is 25 I understand what you mean by comments but if it is meant to be, it is meant to be! Don't let anyone hinder your spirit and stay positive

I'm not really that young. I'll be 27 by the time we get married but I think some things are meant to be and some aren't. I don't think you need to be in your 30s to be able to recognize when you love someone :) and to know that you've got a good person beside you. It's a bit of a gamble no matter what age you are, sometimes things work out and sometimes they don't but that's just life.

I'm 23 and my FI is 24, and plenty of people think we're crazy for getting married so young (don't even get me STARTED on people who have tried to subtlety ask if I'm pregnant...considering we've been engaged for two years and were more than a year out when we set our date, does that seem like the reason we're getting married?! ), but when you know, you know!

We have more "traditional" values than a lot of couples these days and aren't living together until we're married, so that factored into it for us - we want to actually BE married before we start living and acting like we're married, so for us it wasn't really practical to wait until we were 30.  At first (and even sometimes now) I'm kind of self conscious to tell people I'm getting married so young because I know they're going to judge me, but I know we're happy and SO excited to start our lives together, and that's all that matters :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
