Maybe, find some of your favorite photogs on the forum and reach out to them?

This site is great for your research BTW.

But there are a bunch of us who would be willing to do so, but you should check out everyone's work and find someone who fits best with you!
Best wishes, and good luck! I photographed the Barcelo this past February and it was GORGEOUS, so I'm sure you won't have trouble finding someone! :)
I saw this thread and was afraid that I was going to open it just to see a bunch of vendors replying saying "me me me!" I am very happy to see that all vendors that replied have followed the forum rules. MUCH appreciated!

I suggest you do the research and find a vendor that you like and contact them - I don't know of a single vendor that wouldn't be willing to travel if the price is right. That's why any of the vendors on here are members - they're destination photogs - they expect to travel!

I just had a DW in Maui with the VERY talented Melissa McClure. (her website link is: Melissa McClure - Destination And Southern California Wedding Photographer). I know she's very busy, but I also know she loves to travel. You should definitely check her out as the package you described sounded identical to what I got from her- including the TTD and the slideshow w/ music and photo rights on CD. But more than anything- her photos are to die for!! I'm so happy with our pictures and even after being married for 3 months- still look at them daily to relive the day!! Hope this helps!

Before you pay some one to fly down you should look into Del Sol

http://delsolphotography.com/blog/ I have them booked for my wedding on February, 18th.

There work has been seen in magazine around the world and have been voted one of the top ten destination wedding photographers in the world. They are a little pricey, but they take “Quality†to a new level by there unparalleled ability to capture photo journalism.

If you love the Del Sol style, but would prefer a more economical choice. Matt, Owner of Del Sol apparently started another company under the Del Sol umbrella called La Luna.

Their website is located HERE -> http://www.lalunaphotographers.com/

You should take a look; I believe some of the pictures posted on the website are of Best Destination Wedding Brides. I believe La Luna starts at $400. It might be nice to have someone on call that is going with you. But there are tons of advantages for having a local photographer do it. I know Del Sol goes to all Cenotes, provides the transportation and knows the area super well. Plus with Sol along you wouldn't have to worry about a language barrier.

Check them out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
