I am sure it has been discussed on this forum but I cant locate a thread. Maybe I just don't know the proper name for this "tradition". So I need assistance.

Why is sand collected as a keepsake of your wedding? What is the tradition? When is it done? Is there a point in the ceremony when this is done? Is the sand blessed by the priest/pastor?

    I'm clueless please help...

      It's called a sand ceremony.

Here's a thread to get you started:

If you are looking for more information, you can search the forum. Tons of information out there, including what to buy, how much sand, what songs, placement in ceremony, readings, etc!
