Hi - I just joined this site. I live in NC and recently got engaged. We are seriously considering Beaches Turks & Caicos for our April 2011 wedding. This is a second marriage for both of us and I want my 11 year old daughter to be part of our wedding. Beaches seems like the perfect mix for all of us. I just can't decide between the many different type of rooms. Has anyone stayed in a specific room type that can share some advice?

HI Michelle! Welcome to the forum! I was married at Beaches Turks and Caicos in January and we absolutely loved it. I seriously would not fret over the room. You are barely in it. We stayed in the caribbean village in the deluxe honeymoon king suite and it was veryyy nice! If you check out my review you will see pics of the resort and my room and such.

You will love Beaches turks and caicos! Have you checked Tropical Imaging for your photos?? They were also AMAZING! highly suggested!!

Def contact me if you have any questions! Good Luck!

Hi Michelle! We were in the Italian Village which is very "family" oriented. Our room had a kids room with bunk beds, their own TV & sink and then the adult room which was huge. Our room was the Tuscan Oceanview Family Suite. It was amazing & I would highly recommend it. This was an upgrade for us from the caribbean village but as Meagan said...you aren't in your room much so any room will do.

Meagan - Thanks so much for your helpful info. Actually, After reading your posts on here that's when I decided to look into Beaches Turks & Caicos. Your post was extremely helpful and detailed. Right now I have a room on hold until Monday. It's the Govener's Honeymoon Luxury Suite - not sure if this level would be worth the $$$ or if I should just go down a level or twohuh.gif? My daughter is going to be staying another section with my parents. After seeing your pictures I contacted Tropical Images. I am definately going to use them. Any other info you could share would be great. I am still learning my way around this site. I was nervous that Beaches would be to commercial - a bride an hour - type place. From what I have been reading, I think I am wrong!

Hey Michelle! Im so happy I could help! I seriously do not think a ridiculous amount of money needs to be spent on a room, kwim? They are all gorgeous and you are rarely in it. We showered and slept in the room. and thats about it. We chose the caribbean village for location and because almost all of our guests were staying there as well. Italian village is stocked full of children and pretty noisy and crowded. French village is in the back end of the resort, pretty quiet. and the caribbean village is pretty quiet. and pretty to central to everything.

Yah to me Beaches is def not commercial. At first I was slightly worried about it. That quickly passed. Its gorgeous location, gorgeous beach, beautiful wedding locations. The whole nine... and we only saw two other weddings and that is about it.

Good luck and enjoy planning!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
