Chngd mind frm ror to negril? Help?

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about switching from ROR to somewhere in Negril. The more research I've been doing I think Negril is more my style than Ocho Rios. Now I have to find an all-inclusive for my guests. Any recommendations? Looking for a more intimate place that would include reception dinner as part of the all-inclusive pkg. Any suggestions would be truly appreciated. Thanks :)

I"m getting married at the Riu Negril. If you're looking for a family resort then there aren't a lot of options, most resorts are adults only. I'm happy with the reviews I've read about the Riu and their weddings are pretty economical. The all-inclusive package price was exactly what I wanted for my guests too!

I am getting married at the Riu Negril next year. My fiance and I visited the resort last March and thats where we got engaged! I felt that the resort was beautiful. It is pretty big. We are very laid back people and everyone has different opinions, but i LOVED it! the nice thing is when we were there we only saw about 3 weddings. It seems like places like Ocho Rios you have to share your wedding day with about 4 or 5 people in one day.. which i wouldnt necessarily mind, but i never saw more than one wedding a day.. and it could have been just the time of the year too! Who knows, I loved the resort, the only thing i didnt like was the sand that was on the beach where the arch to get married is.. its a little rocky, so have your BM's, n GM's wear shoes:) I think i can live with that.. the people there are amzing too... but that is everywhere in Jamaica. Good luck finding the resort you love!

I'm getting married at the RIU ClubHotel Negril next month (6/5) its less expensive than the RIU Tropical Bay which is also located in Negril. I chose the RIU because it is all inclusive, you will have to purchase a wedding package (I'm going with the classic package for $695 USD) and that includes the officiant, bouquet and bout. for the bride and groom, ceremony decor, the marriage certficate, a champange toast and a semi private reception with a wedding cake. I figured you really can't beat that. My guests got a great rate on their rooms. A family friend just went to this resort last year and said she had a wonderful time.

Hope that helps, good luck!

Look into Moondance Cliffs and Moondance Villas. Both gorgeous online and I've heard great reviews about both. I can't find pricing yet for their packages but I know Cliffs is all-inclusive with the reception too. Both are intimate though at Villas you can have up to 100 guests and at Cliffs you can have up to 200. That's bigger than small, but the way it's set up you will have intimacy.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
