Overall Costs

Recommended Posts

My daughter is hoping for a Breezes Runaway Bay wedding in May 2011. She has looked at all of the packages but hasn't made a decision. Her father and I are divorced and I'm not sure he will help. She would like to have 20 guests who will come in on Wed and leave on Sun. Her ceremony will be Sat and they will honeymoon until the next Fri or Sat. With all of the inclusives, this place looks like a fantastic option, but we have no idea what to expect for overall costs. Everyone we speak with wants a budget amount first.

Has anyone had a simple wedding with 20 guests who are staying around the same amount of time? She would like some decorations, a cake, flowers, photos, and a reception of some sort. If so, would you mind giving me an idea of how much your package cost? And, how much your guests paid for lodging and airfare? We would fly out of ATL. Some of our guests will be paying as couples and some will be paying as singles. We haven't been able to offer anyone an estimated amount and that has kept them from committing to be there. And, to get her grandparents there, we may be paying for them totally. Can anyone offer any info on this? I could really use some help.

Hello,

I'm getting married at breezes trelawny and costs very greatly depending on where you fly from what rooms and things. but I know when I was looking what I did is go to breezes website and they have an option on their where you can choose the resort and put in the travel and airfare and it will give you the total price the only thing is since its so far the airfare probably wont go through because its too far in advance but you could just see how far it will let you go and give that estimate. Also I noticed that when I booked with a travel agent it was a little cheaper than what was on the site. I also have about 20 people. My guests are staying thurs-sun and i think it was about $875 or so. but again it depends on the flight which changes daily cause one day I talk with the TA and then a couple of days later the price had went up.

hope this helps.

Thank you so much for responding. $875, is that for a room with airfare separate? Or with airfare? You're right about ours being a bit early for airfare, but it's been hard just to figure costs for the wedding package, a reception, and guest lodging. Thanks again for responding!

Hello DLT,

you might to try and talk with a TA. That does not engage you - but it would actually simplify your life ! He/she could give you an estimate pretty quickly and then help arranging for the travel of your guests.

Hi, we are working with someone but so far we're getting a lot of material to review but without pricing. They basically want to give us a variety of resorts and packages to look at, which I appreciate, but before we can even begin to think about making a decision, we need to get an idea about pricing for guests. We're not in a position to make a budget, because we're focusing more on costs for family to attend. If it's not affordable for anyone to be there, we may need to look at other options.

That price is for air+room.

I'm not sure where you are in georgia but I put ATL airport with the cheapest room (they have different room plans) on breezes site (keep in mind runaway bay is a higher costing resort) its too early for may but i put in march 16-20, 2011 wed-sun (as I stated before you should be able to get better prices with a TA) but this is just a start for you. hope this helps.

march 16-20, 2011 deluxe room+air coming from atlanta $2066.16 (double occupancy) sorry forgot that is divided by two so that is $1033.08 a person. So it might be safe to say about 1200-1500 a person better to up it and have it be less than to say less and have it be more.

I'm in the same boat! I am planning a January 2011 wedding at either Breezes or Royal Decameron (depending on pricing) and plan to use Apple Vacations or Delta Travel (again, depending on pricing.) But pricing still isn't available. My TA tells me pricing will be available in June/July for January.

We will have appox 20-30 guests traveling with us and plan to offer both 4 and 7 day options. I will keep you posted as our pricing becomes available.

Well, we've had a change in date. She needs to coordinate her wedding with Spring Break 2011 to be able to take leave (she's a teacher). I checked flights today and they averaged $400 round trip from ATL. Hopefully I'll be able to get something definite on guest lodging now. Keep your fingers crossed!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
