Ellabaja1983- I'm so sorry for what you went thru and I'm gald everything is ok between you and your mom. I think your mom can definetely help you deliver the message to your dad without making him upset. If that doesn't work, my suggestion would be to actually have your mom and your dad walk you down the aisle since your mom is so speacial for you

Mocha - It's such a tough place to be in with the dress issue...I'm going to have to get my mom out there to search...I just don't have a clue where to start.  Being in VT, we have so little options...  just your normal retail stores.  The last time my mother wore a dress was my brother's wedding.  In May, he'll have been married for 11 years!

Apola - Thank you!  I think either way I'm going to walk down the aisle myself.  At this point, I want to be presenting myself to FI.  Thank you for the suggestion though!

Ok, so originally I was leaning towards a postcard guest book and Im still leaving that open as a possibility.  Well I was on etsy yesterday and saw this and thought it was a neat idea for a guestbook.  Its a book with guest pages on the inside and the outside is a map of your location... what do you ladies think is better, this or the postcard idea?

Tenny, I got my garter on etsy from a seller called "lolliecoture". She does great work, it's reasonably priced and she has tons of selection! She didn't have anything in the colours I wanted so I emailed her and she did a custom one for me so quickly and amazingly. :) Mine was $25 for the garter & a toss garter. :)

Brandy, Yah my mom had me when she was 19 and we look like sisters. Same height, same size, same features. We got have her looking smoking, haha! I'm worried what FI's mom is going to wear though... I've never seen her in a dress. She's really short, 5 foot nothing and a little pudgy.. They're all the across the country so I can't even assist her in looking. I guess it will be a surprise :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
