Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort & Spa

Recommended Posts

Here is a picture they sent me of a gazebo they recently built on the beach of the resort to host weddings. This is where I will have my wedding ceremony, and then we will move up to a terrace for the reception. I am expecting 30-40 people. Here is a quick overview of what I have planned:

4:30-5:00pm Ceremony on the beach

One hour of open bar is included with the beach ceremony price, so

5:00-6:00pm open bar and pictures

6:00-7:00 - Buffett Dinner and another hour of open bar.

7:00- ?? - Reception on a terrace (i will posts the pics when I get them)

I am still working out the details for the reception. I saw a post about "The Twins" and am seriously thinking about booking them.

I am doing my planning through the Pueblo Bonito Sunset planner - and she is pretty good about getting right back to me. I am also getting my cake from the resort - their food is soooo yummy.

As I get more info, I'll pass it on. And of course, I'll post pics of the wedding, which is January 19th, 2007. It's coming quick!

It is definately NOT all inclusive. It is fairly pricey (food, drinks, rooms, etc.) But it is very beautiful. Tammy has some great rates for rooms. I am having my wedding there, my parents have a timeshare. We are staying at the PB Rose for some of the nights, than moving to the sunset towards the end. The staff is very friendly and you will definately be pampered though. But, you definately pay for it.

Hi Lynn, I am getting married at the PB Sunset. Actually, we are getting "married" here in the u.s. before we leave, and having our ceremony there. I am assuming that you would do the same thing, as we are, hiring a minister for the ceremony. Laura Ortiz from PB Sunset (the resort's wedding planner) arranged the minister and his cost is 350. Here is her email: [email protected]

She can probably answer most of your questions about the vow renewal. Also, keep in mind that the person the resort uses for flowers is outrageous with the prices. I will let you know what i decide to do. My wedding is January 19th, 2007 - coming quick!

:)

I requested this info. approx. 9 mnths. ago but this gives you an idea of Sunset Beach's offerings. The Pacifica has a slightly different menu and is also slightly cheaper. The Rose also a PB property but a different feel was the cheapest. The attachments are for Sunset Beach and Rose/Blanco plus a general info about weddings list.

Hope it helps!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
