I referred quite a few girls in the beginning but I've stopped talking about him now :(

My wedding is in October, so hopefully his busy season will have passed.  Maybe I should email him to see what his typical turnaround time is so that I know what to expect.

He has great pictures, but his popularity must've exploded or something because not only are his prices higher, but he asked us to pay $200USD to cover "travel expenses"

Indychic- I'm afraid to ask...but did you ever get your wedding photos yet? Wasn't your wedding in April? I sure hope you've gotten them by now! I'm getting married in November and just wondering how long I should be waiting for photos. I thought most DW photogs returned photos within 6-8 weeks. Does it not state in the contract a timeframe, especially since you've already paid for his services in full?

Hi Oceanwonderland,

Sorry for the delay- i'm not frequenting this site too much now.

I did eventually get my pics - 4 months after our wedding.  It wasn't stipulated in our contract.  If I had to do things differently I would have gone through with our original agreement (1/2 of the fee due at the wedding, the remaining 1/2 due upon completion of photos.) Maybe this would have encouraged him to work a bit quicker.

I just got back from my Playa Mujeres wedding on 10/28/10 I used William and he was AMAZING!  He showed me a preview as we shot photos throughout the day and even the unedited photos were breathtaking!  He was professional, courteous, and gave lots of direction!  He had lots of creative ideas and was also willing to listen to mine.  I highly recommend him!  I would say he was worth every penny and I have not received a single photo yet.  I will post the link as soon as I do though!

We just got back from our wedding at Dreams Tulum and I can't RAVE enough about William Sanchez!! I have two words for you, BOOK HIM! You will not be disappointed. He

as so much energy, happiness, and kindness coming from him, you just know you're in good hands. He wants you to look and feel beautiful on your wedding day.

We also hired him for our Trash the Dress and those pictures are just going to be breathtaking!  If you have the chance, don't miss out on this experience. We didn't know it at the time, but his assistant for our photography sessions was Ivan (Luckie), they are good friends and sometimes they are each others assistants. Crazy! Great idea though. Two very talented photographers doing what they love. Because of this, we had a very special TTD. Once we get some teaser pics, I'll make sure to post them

That post was all wonky for some reason..

Anyways, I will post a more throurogh review and an entire thread dedicated to William once I receive some pictures. But my husband and I have no doubt in our minds that the pictures will be one-of-a-kind and will make for beautiful photo albums and wall photos. He was just a pleasure to work with, and one of the easiest parts of the wedding experience.

Thank you William and Ivan!!!  :))))

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
