still no news from Riu about outside florists sad.gif

But, I did get an email this weekend from Kreations Flowers. They say they can do bridesmaid bouquets starting at $40US. Also, I had sent them some bouquets I like (in the attached word document) and she quoted them at $73US and up.

anyone hear from any other companies??

Kreations emailed me back too. I sent her a pic of the bouquet I want and she said they could do it for $62. I haven't heard back from anyone else. I'm having a bad feeling that RIU won't let us use anyone else thoughcrybaby2.gif

Hey Carly! I'm in the same boat as you - not sure yet. Gotta see if we have room in the budget to add this! The Riu tells me as long as someone stays their minimums stay (3 nights), ANYONE can take the pics. I wrote them back and very clearly told them that it would be a professional wedding photographer, and they said it was fine.

Hmmm, I wonder what Beaches feeling is on this. I thought that all the resorts had something against that. Matt and I talked about it over the weekend and we both agreed it would be important to us to have good pics, since I HATE having my pic taken. I need someone who is good at the photo-journalistic approach. I tthink that is what it is called, anyway... I also have no clue what is the starting price to have someone come to the DW, cuz I saw something in another thread that (ank, i think) she thinks it starts at like $4,000. Which might be affordable for some, but that would BLOW my budget!

oh the photographer would without a doubd blow our budget too! Since Reggie & I are paying for this on our own, I think we'll ask the parents if they can help out in this one area. if they can, woohoo!!! if not, I guess we'll use the resort photographer

I have a photgrapher flying down with us. We had to pay for her all inclusive trip but it was equal to hiring one here at home. She is going to take pictures for 4 events over the week. A welcome mixer with all the guests the first night everyone gets there, rehersal dinner, our wedding day and trash the dress the next day. It was hard to figure out what to do with the photographer.

A little off topic (Again, I know!)... Did you set something up with the hotel for the welcome mixer and rehearsal dinner? I have such a large group and didn't know if I had to reserve a private area beforehand for those things.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
