She may just be so stressed and pulled in a million different wedding directions that she didn't notice the disappointment on your face or how it fit you. Also, sometimes we are our own worst critics. Try the dress on with someone you trust that is not involved with the wedding and see how they feel about the dress. Good luck! :)
I agree with her. Try it on with someone else with you and also talk to the bride if possible. Good Luck!

I agree with being honest. My bridesmaids vary in size greatly (from size 2-20). As a result I picked the colour and fabric but let them pick dresses that they were comfortable in. As a bride, I would hate to think that one of my bridesmaids was uncomfortable at the wedding. Maybe something can be done to alter your dress in a way that will make you feel more secure. However, you are also probably your worst critic so I agree with asking someone you are comfortable with to give you an honest opinion on the dress. Good luck.

Hi,

I agree with the others. Try the dress on with some one who will give you an honest opiinion. If u choose to diet do it for yourself and not because u feel u have to for the dress u will wear once, especially if u re paying for it?

And really do try to speak to the bride alone!! she will want you to be comfortable and confident on the big day!

I personally hate the idea of my BM feeling uncomfortable and i would be heart broken if they couldn't tell me they felt this way!

Best of luck. xx

I think you should be honest with the bride, she might be thinking the same thing as you, but not want to say the dress isn't flattering on you to spare your feelings. If you tell her you feel very uncomfortable wearing that style, but if that is what she wants then you will wear it, she may change her mind about the style. I would definately want my bridesmaids to tell me if they hated the dress, especially if I was having them pay for the dress. Be honest with her, her heart might not be as set on the dress as you think it is.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
