What if you saved as you went along? I haven't made anything that long. But, I do backup often so I don't lose stuff. Would you lose it even if you had saved? It freezes up on me even when I'm making short videos.

have you tried rehans pan zoom effects? they really enhance movie maker. It's $8 for the download.

EDITED TO ADD:

after posting this i (of course) figured it out myself. BUT i decided i better post how so the next person wondering will know! and i left my original inquiry in case it helps explain things.

to edit the length of each clip, look at your movie on the bottom of the screen where it is shown in the timeline, (storyboard without music, and timeline with music clips.) click on the individual clip you want to lengthen or shorten and then hold your curser over the line on the right of the clip, the one that separates it from the next clip. you should get a red "left-right" arrow. when you hover and get this arrow, a hove messgae says "Click and drap to trim the clip." as you do this, another hove message appears and shows you the length of the clip, left dragging makes the clip shorter, and right dragging makes it longer! hope this helps someone else!

morgan, sarah or anyone else knowledgeable about WMM:

i am just getting started with this, i'm only using picture files, and i dont need my pics to show for more than 2 seconds. my problem is that so far my video is over 12 minutes long, because of the length of each slide (each slide is on the screen for like 5-6 seconds, and i've got over 160 pics, hence the long length of the entire video, AND i'm not done adding pics! yikes!)

does anyone know how to make each slide shorter? i will keep playing with it until someone answers, but i havent been able to figure it out yet so in the meantime i thought i'd ask :)

one thing i havent figured out is how to shorten multiple clips at one time, instead of individually shotening the length one by one. if anyone knows this, reply away!

Another option if you are looking to speed up or slow down a specific clip is to: Click on the clip you are working with, right click your mouse (I think), choose "video effects" and from there you can select to speed up the clip double time or slow it down. There are a few other great options under that screen too. I hope this makes sense. I have a raging migraine but of course can't stay away from BDW, even when sick...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
