Although I haven't tried any of her cakes yet, she is great at communicating via e-mail, has good prices, and has some great reviews on here from others who have used her.

We did a semi-cake tasting. She was really busy during our site visit so she just dropped off a box with some flavors for us to try.. the Vanilla was super moist, but FI didn't like the keylime filling. Chocolate wasn't great, but the Carrot Cake was to die for!! We chose the carrot for our cake and she's completely willing to work within your budget. So far so good!

We had the carrot cake from Jennifer Hatton and it was the best carrot cake ever!! She makes it with a tropical spin so it has pineapple in it and it is so moist and delicious! Next time I go to Cabo, I'm putting in a special order for a carrot cake from her... Angela - great choice!!!!!!!!

We also got chocolate and I really loved the chocolate too!

Kendra - remember that the Hilton will charge a "cutting fee" per person for any outside cakes... I can't remember what it is exactly but I want to say it's $3 plus tax/service (25% total). Is it that you don't like the Hilton's cake or that it's too pricey?

Also if you're doing a buffet remember that it includes dessert... and they are delicious! Request the tres leches cake for sure - no matter what you decide for your wedding cake!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
