I was just wondering if there is an ATM located at Dreams or nearby. If not, did you direct your guests to exchange dollars for pesos at the front desk? I know most people say you get the best exchange rate through a credit card, but I figure people will need some pesos for taxis and stuff. When I visited a few months ago, I changed money at the hotel and I seemed to get a better rate than restaurants were offering. The hotel gave 11 pesos to 1 dollar, but the restaurants only gave 10 pesos for 1 dollar.

i can't recall if they have an ATM but you may be able to get cash from the hotel on your cc.

i just brought a small amount of cash ($100) for taxis, tip etc. but hardly ever use all of it because you can either take the shuttle into town in lieu of taxi and the bus is really easy to use....and since it is an AI you hardly need any cash at all..

sorry this isn't great help but i have just never needed to pull out cash from there and i have been there 3 times.

There isn't an ATM at Dreams, but if I remember right, they let you get up to $50 per day with your credit card. We had friends that used the ATM in Cabo, but we just brought down enough cash for tips and to buy some stuff and came back with lots of cash.

Forgot to say you don't need to exchange your money to pesos - everyone takes US dollars. You can get change (smaller bills) at the gift shop too.

thanks. i figured people wouldn't need that much cash at an AI, but was still curious as to how you all handled it. the only time i visited cabo was when i stayed at a non-AI hotel, so it was a little different.

good question. I guess the concensus is to just bring a bit of cash with you...good to know. Hey your wedding date is two days before ours I think we will be arriving the 25th so if you see some crazy woman peeking through the bushes durring your wedding dont worry its just me. Just kidding lol.

Hehe. I won't call security Hey, I'm actually originally from MA. I imagine you'll be tired that day from the flight. I've only got a few people flying from home. My fiance's from Cali., so that's where most of our guests are coming from. My friend from home was joking, "Could you have made this wedding any farther away?" Um, actually I could have :) Hawaii anyone?

I know, thats the only down side for us too. Ryans (Fiance) parents are having a hard time with it but they are still going. And Yes, maybe I'll just threaten them with an additional 6hour flight to Hawaii. lol.
