Recommended Posts

Hey

I know there are seperate threads for the moon palace, but i thought it might be something a bit more seperate, i hope it's ok to post as a new thread!

anyone that has been to or had a beach wedding and outside private reception at the Moon Palace Cancun .... do you know if i could have real candles?

i have been told it's too windy, but what about if they were like this:

what have you got organised so far? x

I purchased my dress, working on my BM dresses. Invites were just sent out. Booked my photographer. Reserved my reception location as well as welcome dinner. Just starting shopping for my OOT bags but that is a slow process, waiting on a better headcount. Still up in the air about flowers, they don't have the best selections at the MP. I think that might be it for now... and you?

Oh what's your dress like? i have mine too! so exciting! how many BM's do you have? do you know what you want them in? what's your colour scheme?

what photographer are you using in the MP? or do you have an external?

flowers/centerpieces are being the biggest pain with me, what package do you have? i've gone for the free one, so i have my bouquet and grooms button hole free. i won't need a bouquet really as both my parents are walking me down the aisle, so im passing my free bouquet to my bridesmaid.

are you having any kind of decor on your beach wedding? i find the MP prices very high, but then trying to ship things from the UK is giong to be hard!

Its a sottero midgley - JSM1103 - by Sottero & Midgley I can't wait for it to come in!!

I have 4 BM, my colors are turquiose and orange, like my monogram.

I am using Sascha Gluck, his photos are great. Destination Wedding Photographer for Cancun and Riviera Maya and the rest of the World

I am going with the free package and adding things as needed. Still up in the air about the decor because things are so expensive there!

I am having the beach wedding to and getting married in Feb! I don't want a runner down just rose petals and I want everyone barefoot. My sister (MOH) got her dress this week and it looks awesome. I will have to have her put it on and take a photo-- I chose Cobolt blue for the main color and kiwi for the accent band.]

I love the candles too.... let me know what they say. You could always bring them yourself!

barefoot sounds lovely, i was thinking that, but won't the sand be too hot? what time is your wedding?

the dress sounds cute! post a pic :)

i could easily bring the candles, but not the vases, getting glass from london to mexico would be a nightmare! i was told it's too windy for candles, but in a vase it might be ok. i'll let you all know once i hear back x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
