Hello Brides! I'm an April 24, 2010 SGOR Bride and I'm SO excited!!! My only issue (well...one of them) is that I CAN'T STAND the Martha Stewart collection they're offering now. I had no intentions of upgrading anything, but LAWD...the color purple isn't anywhere near the vision I had for the flowers I wanted to carry. Now I'm considering having a silk bouquet made to bring along with me. Has anyone else done this?? How did it work out?? I don't have a bridal party so I'll just need my bouquet and a boutiniere (sp) for my fiance (maybe a corsage for our moms I guess, also).

Hi, I brought my own silk bouquet. I was very particular about the flowers and colors I wanted, and now I can keep them forever. I stuffed them in saran wrap and a box, put it in my suitcase (brought a glue gun for back-up) and they were fine.

I also asked the WC for a credit for my free bouquet, and aplied it toward boutiners and hand corsages for the moms.

I've heard of many girls bringing their own silk bouquets. Do they not still have all of the other options for the regular bouquets anymore? I got the standard one that comes with the package, put some silk stephanotis in there (b/c they wanted $360 for real ones) and it turned out beautiful. GL

Hello!

Just spoke to Amber and she said as long as you put the money down before Nov 30th you can pick another bouquet. She sent me pictures and I was not impressed and the prices were crazy. She did say eventually you will be able to add to the "free package". I've heard of girls just bringing pics and getting what they wanted. Although after the 30th the Martha Stewart collections are copyrighted, and they claim nothing can be changed, added or shared.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
