Yes, I agree with you girls. I don't want to give them out before hand because what if the decide not to take them or they forget them. There will be fun things in our bags as well:

koozies

cups

sarongs for the girls

visors for the guys

tylenol

tums

tissues

sunscreen

antibacterial hand sanitizer

candy

bottled waters

beads

beach balls

Here are some pics of what I have so far:

Erica, where did you get your bags?? They are super cute!!!

While I haven't figured out how yet, I'm trying to think o fsomething i could do so that I can hand my bags out ahead of time, but they'd be wrapped and have to be kept closed until our trip... Not sure if it's going to work yet though sad.gif

We have a guests coming from all over Canada and some leaving from the States, so I have decided on a couple of options. One is to have everyone meet for breaky the day after they arrive for a meet and greet and I can give the bags then. Depending on everyone's arrival dates and times this may or may not work. So if its all over the map I, plan on meeting everyone when they arrive and handing them out then or may try to get everyone together on the first night for drinks by the beach or pool and hand them out then.

Im hoping this will work. Im afraid if I send them out prior to the trip, they may forget the bags at home and then they are of no use to them or all my hard work. So I plan on either lugging them down there or shipping them to the resort.

I just hope everyone likes them and can use them.....

Love the idea of OOT bags!!

We are handing ours out the night before we fly to Cancun. Most of our guests are staying at the same hotel the night before our flight, so we will use this as an opportunity to thank everyone and give them their bags.

This way everyone can put their OOT bag in their own suitcase and we won't need separate luggage just to get all the bags to Cancun.

Love OOT bags and am having fun making them!

Hey... thanks!

I got them in Thailand! LOL We live in China so we were vacationing there a few weeks ago and fell in love with them!

What do you mean your bags would be wrapped? I'm pretty sure if you are bringing them down to Mexico they couldn't be wrapped up. Customs has to be able to see them. Just a thought!

Oh the resort will do it alright, for a price!! Most resorts charge per delivery and per room...so you should check that out! If your resort doesn't charge then you're pretty lucky!! I can't remember what my resort charges but I know it was enough per delivery that I knew instantly I was not going to pay it!! lol
Good luck!

I decided I'm not going to ask my resort to deliver them to their rooms just in case they upgrade and the rooms get switched around. But, I did ask if they could be left at the front desk and when they check in, they will get them. They said no problem!

Check that option out. Maybe it's the fact they have specific rooms to go to that makes it more expensive!

Good Luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
