Trying to buy a house AND get married=meltdown

    Girl, I know how you feel about trying to buy a house. We wanted so bad to be able to get that tax credit, but FI had to refinances the house we live in now to take his x name off of it and he only did that about a year ago. So we would of had to pay to get out of the house and there is no way in the world I am doing that. Hang in the girl, things will start getting better.

      I bought a house last spring. It was probably the most stressful event of my life. I felt like I was having to yell at everyone to get anything done. My advice is to make sure you have all your financial documents ready. That's what can end up taking a while. My BIL gave me that advice and it was a huge help to just email it to my processor as soon as he asked for it. I didn't have to spend a ton of time tracking things down. I didn't get my final HUD until a half hour before closing. It can be crazy, but suprisingly the mortgage process can close pretty quickly.
