I'm confused about the One & Only Ocean Club in Bahamas

Recommended Posts

I've been online looking for Cloisters in the Bahamas because someone I know is getting married there.

Are Cloisters and One and Only club the same place? We were going to do a beach wedding but the One and Only club looks so nice, we may change our minds :)

The Cloisters is actually a site in the Bahamas and the One and Only uses it as one of the wedding sites but if I'm not mistaken that wedding site can be used by others as well. If you go to Bahamas.com and go to the wedding link it will give you info on wedding planners in the Bahamas and some of them have access to the Cloisters as a wedding site. The Bahamas was in my top 3 choices and we did a site visit that didn't go to well so it got kicked out of my choices. The One and Only was beautifult and the Cloisters is as well if you want to see a few pictures we took their send me a PM.

I'm was debating this myself. I went ahead and booked a beach ceremony at the Atlantis, but when I go down there later this year, I want to look at the Cloisters. It looks simply gorgeous. I think it overlooks the harbor. The cost is $3500 and the booking is through the One and Only Ocean Club....but since it is public property...perhaps there is another way to book...don't know...but it looks gorgeous and when I go down, I will take pictures.

Just one consideration, if your reception is not being held at the One and Only, you have to get an early booking for your ceremony...they save the later day appointments for their own guests. I have heard that if available very close to the date...you can move it up. I have the info on booking the Cloisters...if you want...send me a PM.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
