Does anyone think this is a bit much?

Recommended Posts

I'm a huge fan of peonies myself :) I think you should just go for it and if it's too much you can always take some flowers out and add them somewhere else... Post some pics of your bouquet because I would love to see what the flowers look like together :)

Angela - I had light pink peonies and ivory roses in my bouquet - you can see it here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t46511 and I had a mixture of ivory and light pink roses in my bridesmaid bouquets which is in the picture to the left. As you can see I like more subtle tones and wanted to keep things simple.

Peonies are expensive in Mexico and I love them too - the good news is that you are getting married in May when you can pretty much get any flower you want, even though they still have to be flown in. I know you want the hot pink color too - might I suggest doing different shades of peonies and maybe a few orchids in there in whites or pinks as well. I don't think either type of lilly will match well with the peonies, but that's just my opinion. I like the idea of one girl who suggested making a mock bouquet here. You could even go to a local florist and get their opinion and see the flower options at least near each other - I know I do much better with a picture in my head. Good luck!

Like the other girls have said, if you love each of the flowers you've named, then I say only incorporate a few of each in the different colors, so the bouquet doesn't become too large and overwhelm you. I think you've got quite a lovely selection going, and the end result is bound to look fabulous!

And for your girls, maybe do something that only incorporates one or two of the types of flowers, and consider doing something monochromatic, or just the lighter pink and hot pink, but save the white just for you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
