Workout video suggestions???

Recommended Posts

I like the Hip Hop Abs videos. I bought these videos in a set of 5 off of QVC.com. I tend to only use one of the DVDs in the set, which is the 45-minute total body workout. I like these videos because it kind of feels like you are dancing, but you are definitley getting a workout the entire time. I'm not sure if you can buy the vidoes in stores though.

Ladies, thank you all SO much for responding & giving me your suggestions! I am going to try & get to the store this weekend & make a purchase so I can get started. I'll probably have to shoot for getting my workouts in during Sienna's naps...whenever I try doing anything with her hanging around she feels the need to crawl all over me...trying to sit on me or lay on me while I am doing sit-ups...lol! We'll see how it goes...I'll probably try to take a before pic prior to starting, so I can see my results. I haven't worked out in sooo long because being a mom is exhausting enough! :P

Honestly, a good chunk of it is mental. I have tried p90x, and designed for myself all kinds of programs (I have a healthcare/fitness background) and did a lot of sports, but the only thing I lacked was consistency. Really, almost anything will work if you stick with it. I have my first fitness show in a month so I have no choice but to stay committed to working out...or I'll look like crap on the stage. That was a huge wake up call for me to get into shape and it is amazing how you find time for things once you realize you HAVE to do it. I know many moms with young children that would put me to shame in a competition so it is definately doable if you prioritize it.

Thanks for your words of encouragement, SSNM! I will admit I'm not the greatest at time-management...I just need to get more organized & maybe come up with a strict schedule, so I am able to fit in all my daily chores, baby duties, schoolwork, and workouts. Most days it feels like there is just too much to get done in one day, but I bet if I was able to make better use of my time I'd find that it's possible to get everything done!

Girl, I am not organized either! I still fumble about to get my workouts, meals, chores, and regular work in among other responsibilities. BUT, I do get them in and that is all that matters. It won't feel like much at the time but eventually people will start telling you that you look different and then you will look in the mirror and then it is like a light switch goes on and you see that you have changed a lot! I mean, you should plan out the week, but really it will be one day at a time. Bottom line is, to get fit, you have to make time for it and the time can be made with even the busiest of schedules once one decides it is important enough.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
