Okay, so on the Travel Channel, on Girl meets Hawaii (like the view, the Girl in the show is annoying), they always pan over the pool here and Michael and I were like, that's the Grand Wailea (so I looked it up and yep, it is). Anyhow, we're staying here from June 6-12 (we fly there on the 6 from Oahu) and again, I'd love any reviews, personal pictures people have, etc.

Thanks!

Our family stayed here in 2006. A very beautiful resort with a beautiful chapel in its grounds. Would be an ideal area for a wedding. Wailea beach is not white sands though and I expected more like Carribean but I believe this is Pacific so not that impressed. It is calm, no seaweed, no rocks but I prefer the turquoise waters of the Carribean. The whole area is very nice since it is next to Four Seasons etc. I love walking in the mornings in the walkway that connects all hotels. Don't do the Road to Hana trip--bunch of hype! We felt we wasted a whole day on that trip!

We attended a wedding at the Grand Wailea two years ago. they got married on the beach which was beautiful, but it wasn't private (guests stopped and watched the ceremony). the resort itself is gorgeous!!! They chose to have their reception inside b/c an outside reception had to end at 10pm!! overall, we had a great time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
