Our date is April 6th and coming up fast!

hey just want to share with everyone that i am having my cocktail hour at desires terrace and this is actually different from the area outside of desires lounge. this is an open area outside of one of the restraurants and is called "Desires terrace". this drove me nuts originally because i wasnt sure what to ask for. anyway there are two different areas... the area outside of the actual lounge seemed to be open to anyone so i dont think it wouldbe closed off.. she may have meant the actual desires terrace outsdie of one of the restaurants. and they normally dont allow cocktail hours here due to it being above the kids area

Has any past brides or any current brides having their reception on the pool terrace? I was originally booked for the pool deck but was just told i couldn't due to not having 40 guests.. Any opinion having it at the pool terrace or the beach?!

All the restaurants are right next to Desires Lounge so I think they are the same thing...?? The terrace is outside the building with all the restaurants and the Desires club

we had our reception on the pool deck with 35 people so I would inquire again about this unless they have changed the rules.

They've changed the rules.  Apparently, you have to have 60 people or something like that.

The first picture with the tall white tables is the area I was talking about. But because I didn't have my events there, I'm not sure of the name of it. (i just assumed it was called Desires Terrace because it's right outside Desires). Right up the small flight of stairs is the door of the italian restaurant and the back door of the mexican restaurant, right below is the japanese restaurant and to the right is the entrance to the wedding office, Desires Lounge and all the ballrooms.

I have no idea where that second picture is.... Unless it's back on the other side and we just didn't walk around that far.

The first picture is the Desires Terrace which like Savs said is right outside and before the entrance to Desires and the other restaurants in that location.

The second picture I noticed while we were in the actual Desires club. There are two different doors actual leading out to this area from inside the club but it was never opened during the night or for any events I saw there. I THINK they used to call this area the Desires terrace but have started using the first area. To get to the second picture location, you would have to actually go through the club and it is located about the kid center so this could be a reason they don't use it.

Should also mention the first picture location (Desires Terrace) is actually covered. There is a clear glass ceiling above those beams so they are able to use this area in case of rain. They moved our cocktail hour here from a Jacuzzi location because there was a 40% chance of rain and it was really nice!

I really hope they haven't changed the rules. We were hoping to have 50 but ended up with 31 RSVP's plus us. I hope they don't give us any trouble about having our reception on the pool deck. I don't really want to open a can of worms by asking though!
