I've seen that Maye is a pretty good coordinator from all the posts, but can we just use the coordinator at the hotel (Erica I think) or is it better to have an outside one as well? Thanks again for all your great advice! I don't know what I would have done if I didn't find this site.

Hi Sarah,

i got married at dreams and used ericka, maye, and marianna...you may want to just start with ericka since your wedding is small and if gets too large or unmanageable you can hire another coord...there is so much info here and so many dreams brides that i am sure you will have no problem!

here are some dreams cabo brides so you can pick there brain:
me (host)
tara
april (msmaze)
carrie (marksbrat)
sarah (aqharider)
Jennetta(JPMO)
nicole (NHPT)
rebecca
natasha m
amy r

i know i am missing a few.

we were in the same boat...we want to buy a bigger house..

i had over 50 guests and did it for $14,000 BUT that included:

our travel costs
welcome dinner for over 50
reception for over 50
sailing trip
invitations
OOT bags

if you have a wedding at AI for 20 people i bet you can keep it under $5000

The AI is one of the reasons we picked Cabo over Hawaii. We were worried about the costs of food and drinks for everyone, but at an AI it's pretty much all covered for the most part. What company did you use for the sailing trip? That's something my dad would love...

Thanks!

We were thinking about Hawaii at first (my parents have a condo there and some family goes every summer) but decided against it when we realized that Cabo is only a 2 hr flight from LA. This makes is easier for planning and for guest to attend with out having to take off a week from work.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
