@@calgarybride2015 Thank you very much for all of the info!

@@vivitazy I would opt for the free wedding package and then choose to upgrade the location and other add ons. You can always upgrade your package - however you cannot downgrade. I learned that the hard way!

@@AlexC What package did you go with? Do you wish you had gone with the free package and did the upgrades?

@@AlexC never mind I understand, Adrianna won't let you switch? Damn I was also hoping to do so! I don't see anywhere that it says we don't have that option though. Too bad :(

hello everyone !

i feel like a major weight has been lifted off my shoulders, the priest has received our papers and all is in order for the religious wedding ! wow that was a lot of work !

ok, now, i have 2 options, the silver or the gold wedding,

both will come out at about the same in the end, but they will be different

with the gold most of the things will be included, and but we will have the wedding, the toast, and the restaurant for 4 hours, (adding the dj) to the mix.

plus included in the package is spa time, vip status, rehearsal dinner.

with the silver wedding, we will have the wedding, the toast, the restaurant for 1.5hrs, and im adding the beach cocktail, and lights after, make-up and hair,

any advice or thoughts anyone has would be welcome !!! :)

I've been told (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) that if you even get a VIP. wristband it does nothing. So I wouldn't get hung up on that part.

Is the rehearsal dinner important to you? I didn't have it in my package but my WC on the down low booked one for us. You could ask?

I think either package works well. Depends what you want -- do you wanna be inside all night or do you want the ambiance of being outside dancing?

If I had to choose I'd probably go silver and do the cocktail party after for the fact I was outside. But if the gold package offers all you want and is more cost effective then that may make more sense.

Sorry I wasn't any help at all. Let us know what you choose.

ok, i have decided to go with the silver package,

and i added an hour more of cocktail party after the ceremony and after the restaurent ive gotten the private beach party and some lights.,

now, im looking at the photographs, some seem so amazing, but my man is going nuts with the prices,

i have not seen anything that would come under 2000$(changing to canadian)  and thats for 3hrs,

and it would cost 1000$ cad to fly someone for 3 days, who could be there the whole day ! i think im going to try to bring someone :)

things are moving along !!!!

Congrats on finalizing that :)

We got lucky that Adventure Photos hadn't increased their pricing yet (it's absurd now) Some vendors you may consider (from my research) who are reasonable in price are : Bohemia Photography, Samuel Luna, Lancelloti and Octavio Montes. If you can't find someone back home. Good luck!

hi Calgary !

well ive gotten prices from a couple of places and for only 3 hours, nothing comes without being under 2000$, that’s after converting it to cad, and having added the fee from the hotel for outside vendors...

yes adventure photos is really pricy..

Im not quite sure how im going to get this one passed my future husband,… lol

@@vivitazy we had to do a lot of research on photographers too because of price but it's one of the most important parts of the wedding. The only thing you get to keep forever (besides your husband of course haha). We went with Lancelotti. He is charging $1000USD for 4 hours. I don't think that's too bad plus we have to pay the vendor fee to the resort. Was the best we found.

Hi Everyone - if you can - I would look intro bringing a photographer with you, paying their fee and their stay. It worked out that we had a friend who could come and do our pictures. Even if you don't know the person - it's WAY cheaper - and you get them for the whole week, plus i'm sure more reliable. Just something to think about :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
