Transportation????

Recommended Posts

Since I am leaving it up to ppl to book their own hotel..am I responsible for providing transportation to the wedding? I wouldn't mind it but ppl might be at different hotels and my head is already hurting thinking about it...lol!

Any suggestions would be helpful!

TIA

Shannon

hmmm.... Personally I don't think it's up to you, it sounds like it would be really complicated & stressful to try and set that up for people staying at all different places. I assume, your guests know it's their responsibility - but thats just me!

I don't think it's your responsibility either seeing as the guests will be all over the place. That'll drive you insane trying to organize everyone! I would make sure that it's clear with your guests though that they have to arrange their own transportation. You wouldn't want them to assume wrongly and be upset with you in the end.

I don't think it is up to you to provide transportation. I just decided to provide transportation for my guests because we aren't getting married on the strip and it will be hard to find transportation back to the reception site since taxi's do not regularly come to the chapel. However, I am telling them they have to meet at a particular hotel where most of the guests are staying so they can get on the mini bus. Then if they happen to provide their own transportation to the chapel, they will have a ride back on the mini bus.

That is a good idea..if the majority of the guests stay at the same hotel..that would be nice...I was also thinking about getting some type of bus pass/tram pass to go in the oot bags...but I guess I better make sure to let folks know they are responsible for their own transportation...

Thanks ladies for the advice!!

It would be a nice touch for you to provide transportation. My girlfriend had her wedding off the strip and she provided a bus there and back. I would book the bus first and tell him you will give him the destination a little later but it will be a one of the hotels. Then find out where the majority of your guests are staying and have everyone meet there at a certain time. The guest that arent staying there wont mind hoping into a $5.00 cab.

Hope that helps

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
