Mel - I think it was you - I love the idea about signing the shoes!!
Not my original idea, but I will also be stealing it lol!

Sorry you keep getting bumped- maybe when the list is getting copied/pasted your date is getting missed? We'll have to keep an eye out for that.

Snow does suck- we've had it up here for a few weeks now, blah. Not nearly as much as you guys have gotten in Alberta though. On the bright side it's making me really look forward to getting away somewhere warm- there will probably still be snow when I leave here, too, so it will be a nice relief when we leave in April.

Hey, ebredhawk, we're date twins! We're going to be pretty lonely around here during the first part of April.

i got the idea from some pictures i was looking at once, so it's not my original idea either, but i loved it! of course, i've had "buy blue permanent marker" on my to do list for forever.. you'd think that would be easy to check off but i always forget!

and i'm so excited i have another date twin! there is also another girl (i think her name is amy) who is getting married at dreams la romana that day!

yes, this needs to happen! i live in ross (aka: the middle of nowhere) which is just north of colerain off 275. i work downtown mostly though. week days aren't great for me, but if it's during the week, tuesdays are usually my easiest days! my brother is getting married next saturday (the 24th) so if we can do it after then, that would be perfect!

ME! - Royal Blue taffeta flip-flops

meghan, i was just worrying about the flip flops for my BMs. i got them some, but now that they are ordering their dresses, i'm afraid they are going to look to cheap and flimsy. i love the ones you got though! i'm definitely bookmarking that for future reference!!

Oh but the bus ride in to work this morning was SO FUN!! Ours didn't get completely stuck going up a hill, but i heard of a few that did. And there was some buses sliding and jumping curbs too, plus others making people get out and walk a stop or two uphill! Yep, its definitely the first snow of the season - everyone forgets how to drive for winter!!!!!

Suzy, where are you ordering your shoes from? Maybe I wouldn't mind a wedge shoe... maybe wink.gif

Yah I was really happy to find these because we can get whichever colour best matches the dresses... which we haven't bought yet :) We're looking at the convertible ones from Victoria's secret so far. The flip-flops have about four different shades of purple so it leaves some options open. And I figured they might be a bit more comfy/dressy because of the satiny material of the straps.

This is the site I'm thinking about - thought it was a good deal until I checked out the site you posted!! I think I still need a little bit of a heel - then I don't have to have my dress altered...these are the one's I like:
Silver Platform Sandals with Rock Candy Trim - Bridal Flip Flops - Wedding Flip Flops - Bridal Sandals
for my BM's: I was thinking:
Silver Platform Sandals with 2" Heel - Bridal Flip Flops - Wedding Flip Flops - Bridal Sandals

There are a ton of choices and different prices...I only went through
everything quickly once so I'll probably have to do another look-see!!

Ok so I just did a check on shipping and I will NOT be ordering them from this website!! lol should have checked that before....more than the cost of the flops!!!!!!!!!!

But these are the wedge's that I want in silver so I'll have to find an alternate website :o(

We are getting married Tuesday April 20th, 2010 in Cuba and invitations have been sent already.

We sent the invitations August 1st on the invitations it had the location, date and trip prices. All of our guests replied and out of 22 guest 20 are booked confirmed and paid. They had 2 weeks to reply and pay the $150.00 to be confirmed...now they have until Dec 7th, 2009 for their final payment...If EVERYBODY paid before Dec 7th we were getting $200.00 off from the Travel Company and $200.00 from the resort for early booking so we saved $400.00 and glad to say that everybody has paid in full so that part is all DONE.

My invitation was done by my Travel Agent company, they put together an E-vite and it had all her info as well so all my guest contacted her directly and that took alot of the stress off my shoulders.

Now that my invites are out, booking is complete the only thing left is getting a couple details from my wedding coordinator in Cuba.

You'll realize that once you have all your invitations sent you'll feel so much better cause that's a big thing especially for Destination Weddings cause you have to send them early enough so that people can save up and pay for that trip.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
