Suzy - I haven't figured out my bags yet, but after this RIDICULOUS couple of orders that have added on extra money that I didn't know I was spending, I am going to try and stick to a CDN company (like Elmhirst) if possible. I know I'd asked if you had looked here already but I wasn't sure if there were any you liked that we could do a big order on together as well. But if you happen to find a good deal while you're in the States and want to hook me up then I'd love you forever!! HAhaha! I should seriously start taking advantage of of US friends at this point. I'm definitely considering that for my mugs now.

And you know what the funny thing about the centre pieces is... I'd been going a totally different route for them (ordered some white paper lanterns already!!) and then saw that picture and totally fell in love with that idea instead!! So yay!

tracey, they look great!! you are really on the ball already getting everything set for your AHR! are you going for a formal or informal AHR? i definitely need to do that soon!

meghan, your centerpiece inspiration is beautiful! i think it'll look even better in purple, and here's hoping those lights are just what you need! it's funny how our ideas can change as soon as we see a picture of something else. that is the exact reason why this forum is so dangerous!!!

Thanks Shan & Erin!

The funny thing is, I totally wasn't looking for centre piece ideas when I saw that picture. It was from a website for real-touch flowers and I honestly don't think I'd find it again if I tried LOL! The great thing is that my sister is VERY handy at stuff like that so she's already picked up my thought waves and can run with it better than I ever could!

I'll check Elmhirst out again, funny though I had found a couple bags on another website and thought of you!! lol Wondered to myself, "Would Meghan like those?" I swear all this wedding crap is making me KooKoo!! Oh it was the site you were thinking about getting your mugs from, but I'm assuming this is most likely the site that we'd get dinged extra from! Too bad, they have good product!
I will definitely keep you in mind in the States, I'll message you if I find a good deal!
As far as bags go - are you thinking a specific style or color? I know I don't want mine to look like a shopping tote...but when it comes down to $$ my mind can usually change!! lol
Paper lanterns?? Hmmmmm, If you want them off your hands I may know someone willing to buy them ;o)

I am not doing anything fancy or special. I rented out the legion for $25 lol and I will do a hot/cold buffet (1 plate of hot, the rest will be cold since it'll be July) think for 70 ppl the buffet will cost 400-500$ and for decor, it wont be special, a few wedding things i can get at the dollar store.I'm not even hiring a dj, just hoocking my Ipod up to their speakers (If I can lol). So hopefuly we can make a buck or two, but mainly for fam and friends who couldn't see us all dressed up in our wedding attire.

Well it is chilly here so we wore fall gear...plus we are the fun couple..not stuffy at all so I just thought about what we would wear normally..just be yourselves..B & I had something to loosen us up and went from there!!!

I wish you the best in luck in finding that special dress for you. I have high hopes for you, and finger's crossed. Tho I am sure you'll find something you like. Seems like it might be easier for you, to go try a few different types of dress. My SIL was like you, had no idea what she liked, color, bead work or not. We narrowed it down everytime she tryed a dress on, she would say what she likes about it and didn't, she tryed on 3 dress and found hers. So there is hope for you
Thanks girls! I'm keeping my fingers crossed too! I've tried some dresses on and have eliminated some styles but there are just so many to choose from! I'm so torn between wanting something light weight and simple and something a little more formal. I'm really hoping my next attempt at finding one will be my last!!

Stacey I can TOTALLY relate to how you feel about finding your dress, and the debate between light and simple or more formal. I had the same problem! On one hand I really liked the light ones because more often they had a dropped back as well which was really flattering BUT since I'm a little bit small chested, the more formal ones allowed for some 'improvement' in that area which has its obvious advantages :)

I say just keep getting out to dry dresses on. I think the more you get on, the more quickly you can narrow down what you like or not. Honestly it took me at least seven trips before I found mine! And when I did, I was out with a girlfriend who was amazed that I could practically whip the dresses on and off again, knowing they weren't right. But when I tried it on, we both knew that was it!

The best part, I got my more formal looking dress, but it also had a more dropped back like I wanted but is still fitted enough up front to help me out a little!! And as a bonus, its very lightweight because it is taffeta (which I never, ever thought I would get because it reminds me of high school grad dresses!! LOL!) so I'm not even worried at all.

Keep at it, even just a little at a time. You'll find your dress :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
