LOL!!!!!! it sure would mean another vacation (2 weeks) heck I'll even fold up your hubby so you can have company. wink.gif
Sorry I don't have a Maid of Honour one sad.gif They didn't have them at all when I bought those bags and of course that was a few months ago. But if you're still interested I will find out how much it would be to send them to you. PM your postal code and that should be enough to get an accurate price!

And if I could have hubby folded up too then I am TOTALLY in on this magic! Haha!

This is the first time i feel like i'm on a mega time crunch with the wedding. It's always seemed so far away until now!

We received our first physical wedding gift today- a copper frying pan. It's nice, but it was pretty funny opening the box and finding a frying pan. Somehow I feel like I should be a bit more excited about wedding gifts? Don't tell the sender wink.gif
Bed Bath & Beyond lets you return gifts for cash but DF is way opposed to this- he thinks it's being deceptive! I think I'd rather have a new TV fund/house fund than a frying pan.... hehe
Copper frying pans are REALLY expensive! FI is dying for one but doesn't want to spend the $$$ might be worth the $$ to return if you can lol!

Did you hear anything back after you sent them yet?
My second, sorry to be pushy email worked I think. Everyone has booked except for FI's co-worker. I told the TA to hold the rooms another week, then cancel. If anyone books after that the rate won't be guaranteed.

Give it a couple of days....I know it's hard to be patient. Or wait a week or 2 and send a second one like I did! I haven't heard from my one cousin about anything since August when I sent a note that I got a cheaper rate. No response card, no response to my email reminders, nothing to my TA...this is my first cousin - I was in her first wedding, she was in my first wedding...at her second wedding...you'd think she could fill out the response card and send it back with the NO. I may not show up to everything, but I always RSVP!

Yeah the rsvp thing is gettin real old real quick. I just got a e-mail from my cousin saying now she isn't sure she can go.. and how much time do i need to know. I mean I need to know now!

My mom said just to order a few extra bags anyway.. but I really don't want to spend the extra cash if I don' have to.. but i also don't want to presure anyone either.

I give up.. I just want it to be done and over with so I can enjoy my vacation and get back to a normal real life lol.

As much fun as I do coming on here and talking to you girls. I've had it with planning and rsvp's and all the other wedding related stuff sad.gif

Tracy I'm sorry to hear that you're so bummed out about the whole planning part of your wedding right now! I realized the other day that I too am starting to feel a bit of the pressure about everything and that's no fun at all. I think it's because for all my efforts to get things done ahead of time, I still don't feel terribly organized or like I've got a real focus on what needs to be done and when. It just seems like I'm expecting ot get everything done as it comes along which means I'm guaranteed to forget something.

I hope that once you're done collecting all your RSVP's it will make things easier for you and you can get back to enjoying the process a little more. Oh and Suzy saw your comment of folding me up pocket-sized and she laughed and agreed that I would be rather convenient if I could travel in that form :)

I got your msg with your postal code so I'll try to get that done soon here. It's a new Grey's Anatomy tonight so admittedly I will likely be watching that and leaving the post office until tomorrow!! I'm sure that you could take one of the bags in to a place that does embroidering and see if they can match the writing on there in order to change one bag to a MOH. I know my mom has done things like that before so I could see if she can give us an idea of where to ask around.

I hear you on the RSVP's. I really want to wrap up the last bit of my planning but I'm finding it hard without getting the final head count. My RSVP date is Feb 1st and so far I've gotten 21 responses back from 40 invitations what.gif. I get the feeling a few people are waiting to see if they can get a last minute deal but I really would like to know who's coming. I went ahead and ordered extra mugs because they were on sale and I don't mind having some extras but I don't want to do that with favours, plus I have a calligrapher booked to do some place cards but I don't have all of my names yet. It's so frustrating, but I'm hoping some will come in over the next few weeks as we get closer to the cut off date.

I feel you.. I have a brochure I am ordering from vista print and I am putting the guest names on them so when we get there I can just write in the room # each guest is staying at.. but I can't order it until I have the final guest names. Plus like you all the favours.
I am totally annoyed. So much for having everything done at least a month before the wedding.. the way things are looking it wont be finally done until the first week of April.. Not happy sad.gif
even the FI realiz's this is becoming to much, and he always just wants to get it over and done with for me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
