Cabo Wedding/Reception/Cocktails for 50 ppl

Recommended Posts

at a cost of $75-$100 is it possible? And if so, what resort are you doing this at and what sort of terms do you have that are getting you this pricing?

Thank you. Peace.

I'm not getting married in Cabo but I was looking at Dreams Cabo - It was $39 per head (I believe) for guests staying there and it included cocktail hour with apps, dinner - and open bar all night

At Dreams its a "set-up" fee that you pay, so if you have 2 different set ups, ie. ceremony at the beach + cocktails and dinner on a terrace, you will pay 2 fees. When I originally booked (over a year ago) the price was $28pp for set up. Either way if the prices are $39 now per person per set up, then you're looking at $80 per person for the two set ups.

I would suggest that you put all your questions down in an email and then send the same email with the same questions to multiple resorts in Cabo and then compare the responses. cheesy.gif that's what I did

yeah, Dreams Cabo was too expensive for my guests in November which was my main reason - I couldn't make them spend $400 a night to attend my wedding, I just felt too bad...Dreams PV was only $220 per night for the least expensive room (this is all double occupancy)...Dreams Cabo is gorgeous though - hopefully we will like PV just as much as we have never been.

Also, I wanted to use an outside wedding coordinator to handle everything for me - I got a much better price for an amazing coordinator in PV - the whole wedding in Cabo with a coordinator would have been about $5K more for what I wanted.

P.S. I think Ana's right, I think it is closer to $29 this year not $39 - not positive though

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
