Dunn's River is a MUST. My co-worker recommended this tour before we left, and I told her that I was not interested. She told me that she would not speak to me if I did not go. Well my trip was nearing and I looked once again to make sure that I did all the tours that we were interested in. I wasn't too excited about it, but my finance said to give it a try. I am sooooo happy that I did...I think it was the best part of the trip. If I ever go back it will be one of the first tours that I do.

We did a tour that included Appleton Tours, YS Falls and the Black River. We did the tour through Jamaica Tours, but I think other groups offer a similar tour. All three were worth doing. YS Falls was really nice and not all that crowded.

We also did a Plantation tour that was a nice half day tour.

I did the tour that they have set up. It was a great time!!! From Negril it will take about an hr and a half to get to the location for the canopy tour. We left at 9 am and did not get back to Negril till 430pm. It was a longer day than expected. They orig said we would be back into town by 2. So we missed our reservation for the spa. But they corrected that the next day. So plan a later dinner for that night .. depending on which day and which time you decide on going. I wish they had something closer but this is where they offer. You got a FB? If you do ... PM me and I can send my info and you can see the pics of the tour and such.

We did the zipline canopy tour last year (we stayed at Sandals Royal Caribbean). It was soooo fun! I would totally recommend it! The tour guides / guys who hooked you up on the ziplines we very funny and added to the fun times. There were a bunch of shorter lines, and then the final one was a HUGE one over a HUGE valley. The views were awesome and I have great memories from it. A few things to be prepared for:

It is some hiking on some un-even terrain, so make sure to bring sneakers if you plan on doing this tour. You'll be the most comfortable.

Also, plan to be gone most of the day. It takes awhile to get to the canopy tour place, plus our van stopped to pick up other people at other resorts (including non-sandals resorts), so it did feel like a long drive there. But you get to see another side of jamaica and our bus driver was great and gave us lots of interesting info about jamaica. I am really glad we did this tour/excursion!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
