I chose BL.  I think you will be happy with the space...

I chose the dendrobian renewal package. We'll have a civil ceremonly before we leave... It will save us about $800.  We'll probably upgrade our flowers.  The florist the hotel uses is Tai Flora.  I've been reading that it's probably best to go directly through them and mention the credit you get with your package rather than upgrading through the hotel because they try to charge a little bit more than the florist would directly.  I may do a few things DIY if I have the time...

honestly you have 9 months, and the best thing about a destination wedding is that once you pick what you wants its really simple. and most of it can be done when you get there! dont worry about your timeline youll be fine!

have you booked your package yet?

do you have your date?

are you upgrading your flowers at all?

reception location...private/semi private?

really thats all you need to do now...and your w/c will help you with all that. if you want to know what were doing id be happy to help

Hello!!

Very new to the forum! I'm getting married April 18, 2012 at the GPJ in Montego Bay and can't wait :) I've been working with a wedding coordinator and have just made our decisions on the reception location (Blue Lagoon) thanks to some posts in here - thank you!

Wondering: has anyone found some good and reasonably priced photographers in the area that they can recommend? Or does anyone know the name of the photographer who shoots for the resort (included in the packages)? We're looking to get some ideas...

Thanks! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
